I was speechless and my eyes met his. We just stood there. Then I grabbed the pizza and threw the money at his face and slammed the door on his face before he could say anything. Then Matt knocked on the door. "Go away!" I yelled. "But what about your change?" He asked. I rolled my eyes. "KEEP IT!" I yelled.I settled in front of the couch and turned on the T.V., but I managed to have 2 slices of pizza before todays memories came flashing back. I decided I couldn't eat anymore. I put the box in the fridge and washed my hands. Then I went upstairs and tied my hair and brushed my teeth and went back to the t.v.
"Honey! We're home!" Mary yelled. "Mary, you don't have to yell. I'm right here." I said with a smile.
"Right, honey." Mary said kissing my head. "Um, mom. Can I go out for a while?" I asked. She just stared at me. "What?" I asked.
"You called me MOM!"
She smiled and gave me a hug. "Okay okay mom! I just think I should stop calling you and dad by your names." When I said that, she broke in sobs. "Alright mom!" I said letting go and wiping away her tears. "9 years! You haven't called me mom in 9 years!" She said with a huge grin in her face.
What else could I say? I smiled back. "Okay so what was that you wanted?" Mom asked getting a hold of herself. "Umm, may I go out for a few minutes?" "Hmm." My mom said looking at her watch. "Tomorrow is Saturday." I reminded her. "Okay, I guess that is okay."
I smiled and went upstairs and got dressed. I slipped on my boots and took my iPhone 4 and iPod touch. I got my jacket and grabbed my wallet and keys. I stuffed them all into a messenger bag. I said bye to my mom and headed out the door. I put on my iPod headphones and turned up the volume. The In Crowd by Mitchell Musso blasted in my ears. Well at least it fits my life. I walked for miles. It was really cold but the jacket kept me warm. I walked into this really old diner, I used to go to and was not surprised to see Lena and Matt's group was there. I didn't look at them nor did I want to.
"Hayley!!!" I heard someone call. "Hi. I'll have a non decaf with extra sugar." I said to the girl in the counter. She smiled and nodded. She got me my coffee and I went to a window seat. Then I felt something hit the back of my head. I got it out from my hair and it was a straw with a note attached to it. "Wazzup loser?" It read. I threw it out of sight and I drank my coffee. Just then an incredibly cute guy walked in. He had striking blue eyes and jet black eyes. He was tall and skinny. I think he saw me looking at him because he looked at me and just like that, he looked away.
I stared outside the window, while my coffee cooled a little. I don't know who long I stared but a voice shook me.
"Um, mind if I sit here?"
I looked up. It was that guy with piercing blue eyes which were staring at me. "Yeah sure." I said, smiling. "Cool, the other tables are taken. Which is odd." He said looking around. He had a wonderful British accent. "Yeah it is." I said. "Well? Sit!"
He sat down the opposite of me. "So what's your name?" I asked him. "Damien. But my friends call me Damon. Hehe. What's yours?" He asked me. "Oh my name is Hayley." I said. "So did you move here?" He looked at me. "Yeah, I just FLEW from England." He said laughing. But beneath his teeth, I swear I saw fangs.
We chat for a while. I told him my life story and he told me his. We have a lot in common, including we were bullied by the populars. Just then Lena came to us. "Hi Halle!" She perked. "It's Hayley." I said. "Oh you are so funny Halle!" then she looked at Damon. "Oh you made a new friend? What, he felt pity for you and decided to give you money to buy new clothes?" She said smirking. I saw Damon roll his eyes and I just sighed. "Oh..My..God! Is that a decaf?" She said picking up my cup. "Yeah." I said. "Hmm" She said. "Oh My God! Hayley isn't that your mom." She said pointing to the street. "What?" I said looking our. "HAYLEY! LOOK-" I heard Damon scream. Too late. Suddenly hot coffee poured down on me and then a bunch of foam.
Tears filled my eyes. I didn't know what to do. Why do they have to pick on people just because they have a different stereotype? I couldn't stop. I started crying. I grabbed my bag and ran out of there. I ran home. To tell my mom, I can't take it anymore... again
When I got home, my parents were already asleep,so there was no use of waking them up and telling them. When I went to my room, a sharp pain slipped through my hand. I screamed in pain and thought it was just cramps, so I didn't care. When I entered the room, my window was open and a bat sat inside. I screamed again. I could of sworn I left my window closed. Well, I think my mom left it open for fresh air. I caught the bat and it screeched. I felt bad for the little guy, but it needs to be free, so I let it out. It flew away slowly like it wanted to stay. Weird..
I went to the washroom and took a shower. I put in extra shampoo to get the sticky coffee out of my hair. As soon as I got out of the shower, I towel-dried my hair. It took a while, but it was worth it. I don't use a hair-dryer all the time. My hairdresser said it ruins your hair if you use it all the time. So yeah. I got in my pajamas and got my laptop out. I scrolled down to the News Feed and saw that Lena posted the video of her dropping coffee on me. "Dorky l3itch Gets It." It read. Not a big surprise. Another chat box from Matt came up:
"Hey."
I rolled my eyes. I wasn't gonna reply to that. I sighed and went to friend requests. Damon requested me. I accepted it and turned off my laptop. Anyways, I checked my arm and gasped. On it, written on blood red marker was written "Damon." And then his number.
