Chapter 14

Hayes's POV:

I wake up in my bed. I can't remember anything that happened yesterday but my body hurts. I attempt to stand but fail and land on my floor. I groan in pain. I hear footsteps on the stairs then my door opens.

Nash walks in. 'Hey bud,' he says, 'need some help there?' I nod. He helps me up and carries me downstairs. He sets me on the couch. 'What happened,' I ask but my voice comes out low and raspy? 'Well we found you on the ground at the park late last night,' Cam says walking in, 'you were unconscious.'

'Oh,' I mutter. Nash returns with a glass of water. I sip it and it cools my burning throat.

*4 Hours Later*
*Arriving Home*
Dani's POV:

We arrive home. Mum came and picked me up from the hospital. On the way home she told me a few things to try and help jog my memory. So far nothing's working.

I open the car door and make my way to the front door. I walk inside. Mum follows me in and I wait for her. I look at her expectantly. 'Gilinsky come here please,' she yells out.

A boy walks in. 'Yeah Elizabeth,' he asks? 'Your on Dani watch first. Can you please show her to her room,' she asks? 'Dani watch,' I ask confused? 'Just until you her your memory back,' she says.

Gilinsky's POV:

When Elizabeth tells me I'm on "Dani Watch" first my heart shatters. I'm crushed because she doesn't remember me. Hopefully I can help restore her memory.

I grab her hand and lead her upstairs. 'This is your room here,' I say opening the door to her room. (A/N: her room is in the picture above)

We walk in and she sits on her bed. 'So do you remember who I am,' I ask? She thinks about it. 'You have the same name as someone else. Isn't it like Jake or Jace,' she says confused. 'Jack. But you were close,' I say smiling.

She frowns then says, 'I can kinda remember you.' I smile happily. 'Well hopefully you'll remember everything soon,' I say wishfully.
