Sick day

Chapter 2

(Der POV)

I just got off the phone with Richard and managed to get 2 days off for Mer and I. I walked back into our bedroom to find Meredith sitting on the bathroom floor dry heaving. Third time today, and it's not even 9 am. I knelt down again and held her until she finished. I wrapped my arms around her and she collapsed into my chest. "It's okay, I'm here." I said quietly. "You wanna go back to bed?" I asked.  She didn't say anything, but I felt her nod against my chest. I stood up and then bent over to pick Meredith up, bridal style. She buried her head into my chest and started whimpering. "Hey, it's okay meredith, I'm not going anywhere. Your okay." I whispered. I gently lowered her into the bed and tucked her in. "I'm gonna go get you some pepto and Tylenol, and maybe some crackers and sprite. I'll be back in a minute." I said gently. I jogged downstairs and grabbed a few things. I also grabbed my laptop so we could watch movies together. I walked back upstairs and into our bedroom to see Meredith in the same spot where I left her. "Here, take this." I said as I handed her two tylonals. She took it and then sighed. "Hey, do you want to watch a movie and cuddle." I asked. "Sure, but can we watch a scary movie?" She asked eagerly. "Of course." I said as I got in bed, pulling the covers over me. Meredith then quickly rotated herself so she was practically sitting in my lap. My legs were around her legs and she was leaning back into my chest. "We can stream my laptop to the tv if you want." I said. "Okay. Can we watch the original Halloween movie?" She asked. I loved how happy she was, even thought she was sick. I pulled out my laptop and started to stream it to the tv. As we were watching the movie, I couldn't help but think how adorable meredith was when she was sick and helpless. And the fact that she was allowing me to help her was beyond me. "Ahhh!" Meredith exclaimed as a jump scare occurred, pulling me out of my thoughts. I kissed her head gently and tightened my arms around her. About half way through the movie now, I noticed that her soft snores were filling the room. I paused the movie and decided to doze off myself.
