(Der POV)

"Okay." Meredith replied and she laid back. "Now Grey, I'm gonna palpate your abdomen and you tell me if you feel any pain or discomfort, okay?" Bailey asked as she lifted up Meredith sweatshirt. Meredith nodded her head in response. Bailey began palpating her abdomen, stopping when Meredith hissed in pain. "Hm. Well, I think you may have an inflamed appendix. We have to confirm it with a CT, but I want to keep you here overnight on a course of anti biotic and to make sure that appendix doesn't rupture." Bailey explained. "We'll get you some morphine for the pain, in the mean time just try and get some rest." She said. "Thank you Miranda." I said as I watched her give Meredith some morphine. Meredith was already half asleep and was oblivious to our conversation. "Come lay with me." Meredith stated. I carefully climbed into her bed wary of her IV, and wrapped my arms around her. "Mm love you." She mumbled. "I love you too Mer." I replied. A few hours later when I woke up to Bailey gently shaking my shoulder. "Wake her up. We're gonna get her a CT to see if we need to remove it." She whispered. I nodded. "Meredith. Mer, you gotta wake up. We're gonna bring you to CT." I whispered. All I got for a response was a simple nod and she buried her head into my shoulder. I slowly slipped out of bed and held her hand and wheeled Mer out the door. As we got to CT, Meredith started to wake up again. "Hi." She said sleepily. "Hey. We're just gonna get you a CT to see if you need your appendix removed or not." I explained. "Mm okay." She replied, already falling asleep. Meredith fell asleep as she was getting loaded into the CT. After we loaded her in, me and Miranda headed to the scan room. "I'm proud of you, you know." Miranda said. I looked at her with confusion. "You finally got your act together and went to be with the woman you love." She explained. I smiled in response. "That being said, if you hurt her again, I will not hesitate to kick your ass." She said sternly. "I will not hurt her ever again, she's the love of my life." I replied. We looked back at the scans and they were up. "Damn, it looks like her appendix burst. We will schedule surgery in a few hours." Bailey said. "Okay." I replied.
