Yoichi thought for a moment, how were the scoutmasters going to let a strange boy who came out of nowhere join the camp.
He considers telling scoutmaster yoshi (AKA sheriff broke back) but knew that when it came to the old man, yoshi was not very good at convincing. Only one person came to mind, and he almost wished he hadn't thought of this. There was only one person who could convince goro....

Yoichi felt a chill up his spine, to say that Yuri creeped him out was an understatement ...she downright scared him at times.
"What about that creepy lady? Isn't she Gramps' daughter?" Yoichi suggested
Natsumi pondered the idea... "That actually might work"
Taiga shrugged "I doubt she'd mind, she'd probably just be trying to get you two together"
"Fine by me" Kai said, smiling brightly as his tail wagged happily.
'This boy is going to be the death of me' yoichi thought with a slight grin.
They brought kai to miss Yuri and as expected....a loud squeal of excitement was the result... "KYAAAAAAAH!! HOW CUTE...THIS TOTALLY FITS A CLASSIC ALPHA OMEGA OTP!ITS EVEN CANON!!"
Kai covered his wolf ears to try to silence the ringing. Where yoichi had a keen sense of smell, kai had incredible hearing in addition to his sensitive nose.
Yoichi knew the noise was too much for Kai so he pulled the omega close and pet his ears, the action always calmed him as a kid, so he thought it'd work the other way around.
"OI lower your voice crazy lady" he warned.
Kai blushed but slowly calmed down at the affection he received from his alpha.
Yuri cleared her throat, "don't worry I'm sure there will be no problem with Kai staying...now run along, you'll need to prepare for the sportsfest today"
Kai tilted his head in the same manner a dog would when it was intrigued, "sportsfest?"
Natsumi explained the concept of the sportsfest band it's rules.
"So it's a relay race...sounds kinda boring"
"EXACTLY" Yoichi said
"Shut up wolfboy! You think everything is boring!"hiro replied
Kai's ears twitched in annoyance, "I resent that name....you got something against wolves?"
"N-no I mean...you know...wolves are aggressive and wild and he always has this lone wolf attitude"
Kai growled, the sound was similar to a wolf growling at an enemy. "First of all wolves are more caring and are one of few creatures that actually raise their young and stay with them.. second, don't act like you know so much about wolves, wolves are not built to fight alone, a lone wolf is a dead wolf and instead of acting like a jerk maybe you should start thinking before you speak! And thirdly, wolves are aggressive because of the amount of bullshit we go through! I bet you don't know the first thing about survival!"

Hiro, for once in his life was rendered speechless.
"I-i..... I'm sorry"
Kai huffed out a breath and pouted, only calming when Yoichi patted his head as a signal to chill.
"It's okay pup, I'm used to it by now"
"Still doesn't make it okay"
Yoichi sighed "don't worry about it, if it bothered me do you really think I'd just sit by and let it happen?"
Kai pouted "no...."
Yoichi kept petting the soft fur on his ears.eventually earning a soft croon of approval. "Fine but only if I get to race him in the festival"
Yoichi chuckled at the feisty omega..."sure"
