CHAPTER 9: When the wolf sings

(Hewooo...I'm back at it again...this chapter will reveal a few hidden talents...oki let's start this bish)

Several days passed at camp buddy. currently yoichi was laying in Kai's lap, while kai gently pets his hair in a soothing manner.
Yoichi felt nothing but calming and wholesome love for his omega as Kai's petting lulled him to sleep.

Kai started to sing softly, thinking that yoichi was asleep.

He sang the song in a hushed tone, letting the melody lift his spirit. Kai never sang around others, except yoichi. When he sang, it felt like he was letting his deepest emotions float to the surface. He always opened up when he sang, and only aloud yoichi to hear.

"Wow I didn't know you could sing..." Said Seto, who was with felix.

"O-oh...I usually sing in private, or when its just me and yoichi"

"Nah...I get it. Still, its kinda sad not to share a voice like that" Seto said, smiling.
Kai scratched the top of his head nervously....he had started hiding his wolf features to avoid being spotted by malom or any other rouge wolf, but as expected, he was incredibly uncomfortable.

Yoichi poked kai on the cheek. "He's right pup, if I think its good,  then you've definitely got a gift there"

Kai sighed, "look its not like I don't want to....I just freeze up with other people around, like the words just lock up in my throat."

"So you have stage fright...that seems completely normal" Felix said bluntly. "Everyone gets scared sometimes".

Yoichi sat up and pulled kai onto his lap suddenly.

"Ah! YOICHI!"

"Nope! Not letting you go until you sing ~"yoichi said while trapping in an embrace, Kai's arms pinned against him by yoichis stronger ones.

Kai squirmed and kicked the air a few times before pouting. "YOICHI LET GOOOOOO!!!"

"No~"yoichi said, finding Kai's childish behavior adorable.

"Fiiiinnnee!"kai groan, both annoyed and appreciative of yoichis willingness you make him more confident in his voice

Yoichi released kai. And the omega poked him in the side. "Just for that I'm making the song about you"

"Heh, sure"

Kai started to sing again only at a  higher volume.

Halfway through the song others began to listen in on Kai's singing, even miss Yuri and aiden stopped to listen.
Kai had closed his eyes while he sang his feelings

At the end of the song kai looked at yoichi and gave him a soft smile before realizing that everyone he knew at camp was watching with a starstruck gaze and a few smirks.

Kai's face flushed bright red

Yoichi grinned and held his omega by the waist while kai covered his face in his hands from embarrassment.

"Aw was that so bad, pup~"yoichi said in a teasing tone.

Kai pouted, his cheeks still flushed and a timid look lingered in his eyes. Yoichis smexy grin didn't help either. "Sh-shut up!"

"Make me~" toichi teased.

Kai continued to pout until yoichi laughed and kissed his lips apologetically. "I'm just teasing pup, you just look so adorable when you get all shy and nervous"

"Hmph! I forgive you, I guess" kai muttered.

"In all seriousness, you really should sing more often, you're a beautiful singer and anyone who can't see that is either deaf or stupid". Yoichi caressed Kai's cheek and smiled.

Kai smiled shyly and hugged his alpha.
Yoichi was a good alpha. He provided for his omega even if it was difficult. Yoichi was brave, accepting, and loyal to his friends...but best of all... He had mercy.

All the alphas kai knew were violent, yoichi was too. But yoichi never attacked without a good reason and he didn't go farther than he needed to in a fight. Kai's old pack would gladly accept yoichi as their ideal alpha.

He was the alpha a pack needed because he would protect and care for his subordinates.

Kai let out a soft croon of approval as he hugged his alpha, neither of them aware of the black wolf that watched angrily from the forest edge

"Don't worry little omega, I'll have you soon..."
