Kai woke up during the night...everyone else was in deep sleep, except yoichi and kai. Yoichi had one arm wrapped around Kai's waist and was petting his wolf ears with his free hand.
Kai moved to escape yoichis hold so he can go hunting, But yoichi held an iron grip and easily pulled him back, crushing kai against his chest as if he might disappear otherwise.
"Yoichi...I want to go hunt..." Kai whined.
"Stay" yoichi said bluntly...he held kai tighter
"What's wrong yoichi?" Kai asked
Yoichi glanced at the door, as if waiting for something dangerous to walk through. "I have a bad feeling" yoichi said "I don't know what it is but..."
"If it worries you this much then I won't go, I'll just hunt tommorrow"

The next morning when everyone woke up, kai snuck off to the woods. First checking on yuki for yoichi, then to go for a run.
Kai gave yuki a loving pat before shifting into a wolf

Kai caught a familiar scent that had him tensing up. The fur on his tail and neck puffing up. Kai followed the scent cautiously, hoping it wasn't what he thought it was. eventually he found a dead rabbit, the wound on its neck could clearly fit a wolfs teeth
But what worried kai more was the scent of dominant alpha pheromones. The same scent alphas used to attract and catch omegas. Kai felt himself grow dizzy from the powerful pheromones and shifted to lessen the effects...in close distance it acted as a drug, kai couldn't tell who had the scent or where it came from...
He froze when a hand closed over his mouth.. "Don't move omega" a voice said in a strong alphan tone, that made any omega obedient. But kai froze, not because of the alpha command, but because he recognized this voice "M-Mhmmn?!"
"She...don't worry, I'm not gonna take you....yet~" the male said, he slowly removed his hand and turned Kai's head to kiss him fully on the lips
Kai, as well as the omega within him, rejected the touch of another alpha....ESPECIALLY this one. Kai growls and bit his lip until he bled, the pain causing the alpha male to shove kai away, followed by a stream of curses.
Kai turned and looked at the alpha with a glare... "Malom, you look like shit"
Maloms ear twitched at the insult. But he kept a calm expression, "long time no see little rabbit"he said, "I just came to tell you that my offer still stands...you know that I just adore you bunny~"
"Stop calling me that, I'm not your plaything!" Kai growled, "I'm not your anything! I have an alpha!!"
"Sure...the mutt that thinks he's human....you really think HE can protect you from other wolves? Can HE protect you from me?"
Kai stayed silent and just glared, truth was he didn't know....yoichi was built strong and knew how to fight well....but malom loved to fight...where yoichi might hesitate, malom would strike, and he would never hesitate to kill.
"I don't like you that way malom, I don't even like you at all!"
Maloms eyes reflected a warning and Kai felt a chill up his spine. "Careful what you say omega"
Malom stepped closer, a dangerous look in his eye and a sadistic grin. Kai instinctively backed away, his omega telling him to run back to his alpha.
But Kai knew better...Malom was a stereotype alpha wolf, he loved to chase, and loved to dominate even more. Malom was unstable and violent, but for whatever reason, kai was the one he chased and obsessed over.
Malom kept getting closer until he cornered kai against a tree. "Be glad I'm even giving you a chance to choose me, I don't need your permission to make you mine" He trailed his pointer finger along Kai's neck, grazing it over the scent gland where alphas bite to claim omegas.
"Even now I could easily claim you, then you'd be loyal to me, your hidden powers would be my benefit, your body would be mine to use as I please. I own you omega"
Kai shivered in fear of maloms words, he couldn't lose yoichi. Nor could he leave yoichi like that. Not for this sadistic asshole.
Kai glared at malom, "go to hell, bitch" he said boldly.
Malom looked shocked for a moment, knowing that an omega would normally be too scared to look an alpha in the eye, let alone talk back... "You got guts, its gonna be fun breaking you~"
Kai aimed a well-placed kick to maloms nether regions When malom hunched over kai took the opportunity to run. He didn't dare turn back and headed straight for camp, leaving the aggressive alpha in the distance
Kai found yoichi and stopped, out of breath and exhausted from running several miles in humanoid form. Shifting would have took a few seconds to do, but kai didn't want to give malom a chance to catch up and find him.
"Hey, you okay pup?" Yoichi asked, seeing the scared, exhausted omega.
Upon seeing the alpha he loved and cared for, kai couldn't help but cry and run into yoichis arms. All he could do was hug HIS alpha and cry into his chest.
Yoichi was surprised or see kai cry. Kai was always the one to keep it together, he'd only seen the omega cry once. And he still didn't like it.
Yoichi wrapped his arms around kai protectively. "What happened?"
Kai sniffed and looked up at yoichi. "I-i'll tell you...right now I just want to stay with you"
Yoichi reached up and pet his ears to soothe the omega.
"I'll stay as long as you need me"
