CHAPTER 4: sportsfest time!

((author's note✨: kai has brown hair with the ends a reddish violet color...in wolf form he hasredish brown fur and he has heterochromatic eyes. One blue(right) one green(left). His body is lean like natsumi but he is about as tall as hunter))

At the start of the sportsfest, kai changed into the gym uniform but had to wrap his tail round his torso and hide his wolf ears in a red cap.. it was uncomfortable but neither wanted to risk Kai's safety.

First was yoichi vs taiga on the monkey bars. Yoichi won by only a few inches, mostly because kai shouted, "YOU GOT THIS ALPHA!" which made yoichi push himself more. He had an omega to impress after all. His efforts earned him a hug and headpats

Next was natsumi vs detox, in which natsumi was the reigning champion at swimming.

Then keitaro vs toshu on the rope climb. They ended up in a tie.

Then hunter vs felix on tick climbing. Hunter won and kai congratulated him.
Finally it came to Kai vs Hiro on track....kai grinned.

"Bet I'll win, you don't look like much of a runner!" Hiro bragged.

Kai only grinned, "we'll see" he said calmly. When the whistle blew Kai took off like a bullet, letting his inner wolf run free.

Kai loved to run, he remembered days of his childhood when he would race yoichi through the forest. Kai loved the thrill the run gave him, the adrenaline, the way the world flew past him, and the wolf's desire to chase its prey.

Kai reached the finish line with a skid, he was a good ten to fifteen feet before hiro, who was panting as he approached the end soon after.

" *Pant* how...are you *pant*... That....f-fast?!"

"Compared to running from sex hungry alphas and wild animals, this is nothing" kai said as he handed hiro a water bottle... "Here ..I think I made my point"

Hiro drunk the water desperately as yoichi made his way over, pulling kai closer. "That was good Omega, made me appreciate your ass a little more~"

"YOICHI!" Kai said, lightly smacking his arm as his face grew red.
Yoichi only laughed at Kai's embarrassment.

Keitaro and taiga came over to them.
"That's was unexpected, how did you run that fast?" Taiga asked.

"It was so cool!" Keitaro said- starry eyed.

Kai absentmindedly wrapped his hand beneath his shirt and played with his tail.

"Well, since I'm an omega wolf, I get a lot of unwanted attention from alphas....so I learned to make a quick getaway....omegas run, the alphas chase, that kinda thing...."
Yoichi's inner wolf growled at the thought of alphas taking its mate, but instead yoichi only held Kai's waist and buried his nose in the omegas neck in a possessive gesture. He breathed in the sugary scent of fresh honey and oak trees. The smell was faint, but to yoichi and his inner alpha wolf, it was intoxicating and so powerful he could almost taste it.

Kai reached up and pet yoichi, running his fingers through his hair. He was hyper-aware of whatever his alpha was feeling and vice versa. He kept up the action until yoichi moved his head to rest on Kai's shoulder, signaling his content.

"Alphas usually mark their omegas....but yoichi refused to in case one of us wanted someone else" kai explained, "this means any alpha can claim me as their mate if they mark me with their fangs. Unfortunately I'm one of the rare heterochromatic wolves... wolves with two eye colors...there's a myth that heterochromia means that we are one of the pure blood wolves"

"Pure blood? Like in movies?"said hunter.

Kai nodded "pure blood wolves are healers....or so the legend says, every alpha hopes to have a pure blood wolf so they can be basically stronger than any wolf"

"Hear that? I got a healer!"yoichi smirked and kai laughed.

"I don't believe in the legend, yoichi.... And if I could heal, I would have done it"

Yoichi smiled and kai looked away while blushing furiously... "A-anyways, any questions?"

Taiga spoke up... "So if marking gets rid of all the competition, then why not do that from the start?"

"Well marking is not only painful, it's forever. It's basically marriage, all other wolf would not be able to catch my scent at certain times" kai said casually. "A mark can't be undone unless the omega is marked by a different alpha to replace the former alpha's mark, or if the alpha or omega dies and the bond is broken"

"Scouts! I must say that this year's sportsfest went very well, as a reward, we will be having a celebration later today!"sir goro stated

"That's who runs the camp?" Kai asked.
The others nodded.

Goro walked over to kai, who had the automatic intinct to cower submissively. His omega felt frightened by goro's size and the unmistakable dominant energy he gave off. For an omega like kai ... It was too much, and he panicked.

"You, you're the new scout Yuri told me about, what's your name boy?"

"K-kai" the omegan boi stuttered, unable to control the fear in his voice.

Yoichi noticed and placed an arm around him, "he's my childhood friend" yoichi said calmly. The closeness and calming energy he gave soothed kai. Yoichi knew of Kai's omega nature, how it made him have panic attacks and sometimes made him dizzy if he smelled too many strong scents or was overwhelmed by someone's aura.

Kai calmed down and nodded
"Y-yeah..."

Goro rested his hand on Kai's head in a fatherly manner, "well if your with this group of scouts I have no doubt you'll do just fine here, may you enjoy your stay at camp boy"

With that, goro left, and kai felt like he'd been through a bomb diffusing.
