(several years before kai joined camp buddy)
Akane curled around her pups, keeping her tail around them to protect them from the cold snowstorm outside her den.
A bdoy wandered into the cave, shivering due to having minimal clothes that were dirty and worn.
He had red eyes and purple hair, and a scar on his cheek and arm
At first Akane growled at the intruder, but then she tilted her head in curiosity, realizing that he was neither wolf nor human, he looked human, but smelled like wolf and woodland trees. He appeared hungry and tired.
Startled by her first growl, he froze at the entrance to the cave.
The boy sniffed and wiped his eyes, he had been crying before.
Where is your mother little one?
"My mom abandoned me, I don't wanna talk about it"
You understand me?
The boy nodded, "sorry for coming into your den" he said.
The wolf looked at the blizzard outside and decided to welcome the wolfboy until it cleared up
She walked over to him, picked him up by his shirt,and dropped him next to the pile of sleeping pups.
Sleep her for tonight, but you must go when the air is warm again.
The boy nodded and stayed there for the winter, leaving only to help with food and bedding for the pups.
Akane grew find of the boy and enjoyed watching him care for the pups, but letting him stay had a price. If a human found him they'd find her den and her pups, and she'd have to fight to remain in her home with her precious pups.
At the end of the winter the boy left, but not before giving the wolf a hug good-bye. If not for him being mostly human, akane might have raised the boy as one of her own, but his presence brought danger, and akane was too wise and too cautious to risk the safety of her pups.
After the boy left akane left the den to hunt only to come across a second boy, this time with black hair and red eyes that held a darker shade then the purple haired boy. Unlike the first boy, this one had a sinister aura, one that put akane on high alert. He began to change into a wolf, of equal size to Akane.
The black wolf straightened, his head held high, showing his status as an alpha, akane was wary, not wanting to fight the alpha, but also hoping he left her territory. He looked hungry
One of her eldest pups, Absalom, rushed forward and attempted to play with the wolf
Akane whined for her pup to return to the den
But the black wolf snatched the pup by the neck, letting him dangle and squirm in the uncomfortable and painful hold, all he had to do was bite down to end the pup's life. Akane gave frantic yips, begging the wolf to release her pup.
But he was a wolf that knew no mercy. And he almost closed his jaw when the pup's father, Akane's mate, knocked into him, forcing him to drop the pup.
Akane gently grabbed her pup and left the alpha fight to her mate, Moeru. Watching from a safe distance.
Moeru and the black wolf fought fiercely until the red eyed black wolf sidestepped him and grabbed his throat, making an easy kill.
Akane whimpered at the loss of her alpha, and hung her head submissively as the black wolf passed by. When he left akane cradled her pups with her tail, licking absalom's neck wound and trying to soothe the pained whines From the scared pup...after Moeru's death, akane had to struggle with feeding her pups and warming them at night
Her pups eventually died off from starvation, akane was unable to find enough food on her own that she could kill and bring to her pups.
She looked to the moon, feeling mocked that it shined so bright when she felt so sad.
Akane raised her head and let out a howl, A loud mourful cry for her lost pups, her lost mate, and rage against the werewolf responsible for the loss of both.
She cried out each night for years until she eventually found a new mate and had a single, energetic pup, Sora.
Her new mate had also died at the claws and fangs of the black wolf, but akane was stronger now, and with only one pup to care for, she did well in raising him.
Eventually sora's curiosity grew and he wandered into the human camp akane warned him not to go.
But when she found the omega boy playing with her pup in the most gentle manner, plus the presence of the purple haired boy, now fully grown and strong... Akane felt relieved, she liked them.
Akane went to examine the omega, pleased at the warm, playful energy he gave off. Akane decided to keep this one as a playmate to keep her adventurous pup out of trouble, pulling him with her. But when the boy said no and say by the purple haired boy, akane understood.
Still, she liked him and his alpha, so she knew she could trust them with her and Sora.
Taking Sora back to her den, she curled up and cleaned his ears and fur despite the pup whining in stubborn defiance.
Occasionally the black wolf would pass by, but akane remained hidden when that happened, she would protect her pup this time...
Whatever it takes
