you laughed at him and smacked the back of his head

he looked up and you guys where in front of the ice cream store. you guys walked in, got your ice creams and left

you got another reminder on your phone saying you had to call your dad and tell him it was moms birthday tomorrow

you dialed the hospital he was at and the receptionist answered

linda: hello
y/n: hi linda, it's y/n
linda: oh! y/n! it's been a while!
y/n: yeah i've been pretty busy haha
linda: your moms birthday is coming up, you going to visit her tomorrow?
y/n: yeah that's actually what I was calling about, can you pass me to me father?
linda: yes um.. i want to let you know that his.. alzheimer's is.. really starting to get to him..

you heard a pause and then your father spoke

father: hello?
y/n: hey papa! it's y/n
father: y/n...? y/n! hey sweetie! how are you?
y/n: i'm doing fine, working hard in school you know
father: that's good to hear!
y/n: do you remember what tomorrow is?
father: um...no..
y/n: do you... know who I am?
father: um.. a friend?

you heard linda talking with him and then taking the phone away from him. you bit your lip trying to hold in your tears.

linda: i'm so sorry y/n! we have to stabilize him im going to have to hang up

the call ended and you looked at your phone screen, almost forgetting bakugo was there. you put your phone back in your pocket and looked straight ahead till your eyes dried, you guys got back to the dorms and you guys were in the kitchen

y/n: ..
bakugo: is everything okay?
y/n: yeah
bakugo: when are you going to stop lying y/n

he went over and sat on the couch you follow him

y/n: wdym

you said laughing, but the laughing soon turned to tears

bakugo: hey, hey it's okay..

he got up from the couch and gave you a hug. you buried your head in his stomach latching your arms around his waist.

y/n: he doesn't even remember his own daughter..
bakugo: I know..

he stroked your hair

bakugo: do you.. want my ice cream?

you chuckled and looked up at him

y/n: you're an idiot..

you said slightly smiling up at him

bakugo: w-well now you can't have it!

you laughed and he wiped your tears with his fingers caressing your face gently

bakugo: no need to thank me..

you got up and gave him an actual hug, what you didn't know was that todoroki had seen everything from the hallway, he walked back into his dorm and stood looking out of his window.
