the gym was empty which wasn't surprising to you because no body every really went to the gym during weekends. you put your earbuds in and began to release your anger. after a while of weight lifting, hitting the punching bag, and leg work outs you were burned out. you sat on the bench, your head hung low, out of breath moving your arms in circles. you looked at yourself in the mirror and sighed. you turned your music all the way up and sat there by yourself, not to think, but to enjoy the moment you had all to yourself with no problems, no distractions, just you and your music. after a while you got up from the bench and walked out of the gym to your dorm and noticed bakugo was walking in your direction

y/n: hey!

you said, forcing a smile

bakugo: huh? oh hey um listen I gotta go but i'll see you later
y/n: um o-okay..! oh before you go, do you wanna hang out tomorrow?
bakugo: umm..

he looked at his phone and scratched his head

bakugo: I don't think I can, babe
y/n: oh...okay.. it's fine!
bakugo: thanks for understanding

he patted your shoulder and walked off on his phone. you jerk forward at the pat and just saw him walk off, you scoffed and shook your head walking to your dorm.

time skip to the afternoon~

you put some jeans on and threw a sweater over your t-shirt and headed to the exit of the dorms to go to todorokis home. you reached for the exit and todoroki opened the door for you

y/n: what are you doing
todoroki: opening the door?

you sent him a confused glare and he sighed

todoroki: are we going or not
y/n: I thought you didn't want to-
todoroki: im not letting my best friend be mad at me over something like this so, after you

he said bowing and signaling you to walk out first. you laughed and pushed his head

y/n: you're such a dork

you walked out and he followed after you. he was calm for most of the way until you had reached his front door and he was fidgeting with his fingers

y/n: it's okay, i'm going to be right here with you the whole time. if at any point you feel like it's too much, you say the word and we leave. no hesitation okay?

he looked at you and took a deep breath in

todoroki: alright, let's get this over with

he opened the door to his home and in you guys went. not long after fuyumi popped her head out and a big smile grew on her face running towards you guys. you smiled back with open arms and she hugged you

fuyumi: oh my goodness! it's so good to see you!
y/n: you too! I missed you!
fuyumi: it's been way too long
y/n: well you know, hero training stuff or whatever

you rolled your eyes and she laughed.

fuyumi: shoto! im so glad you decided to come! dinners almost ready
y/n: can I help you set the table?
fuyumi: oh y/n, as helpful as ever! come on!

she grabbed your hand and ran to the kitchen leaving todoroki at the door

y/n: oh give me a second!

fuyumi nodded her head and you ran back to where todoroki was

y/n: are you coming or not
todoroki: can I put my coat down first
y/n: cAn I pUt mY cOaT dOwN fIrSt- shut up boy watch your tone

he chuckled and you grabbed his hand running into the kitchen. todoroki handed you plated and silverware and you set them down while fuyumi put down some of the food that was already done.

y/n: so where's natsou-

you were interrupted by hitting something

natsou: missed me so much you just can't get your mind off of me huh?
y/n: you asshole

you both laughed and gave eachother a hug

natsou: you've gotten very pretty, if I do say so myself
y/n: ayo that's a whole case
natsou: what? i cant complement my little brothers best friend now?
y/n: stop making it sound weird!

he laughed at you while you growled at him. the room then became silent as we heard loud footsteps approaching the dining room. natsou let go of you and walked over to stand next to todoroki. your
happy mood then shifted to an annoyed expression, you rolled your eyes and spun around on your heels to meet the one and only, endeavor

endeavor: y/n.
y/n: enji.
endeavor: last I checked your last name wasn't todoroki, so why are you at this family dinner.

todoroki clenched his jaw, you and his father would always do this, but it didn't take away from the fact that he hated the way he talked to you

y/n: i was invited! the real question here is; what roll have you played in this family? you know, other than the abuser
endeavor: I see you father never taught you how to respect your elders-
y/n: yeah well at least he acted like a father.
endeavor: was that before or after the center care?
y/n: both before and after! when have you acted like one?

you said smiling at him

endeavor: fuyumi
fuyumi: y-yes father?
endeavor: why is she here. I remember you saying this would be a FAMILY dinner
todoroki: she IS family.

todoroki shot a cold glare towards endeavor and he stayed quiet.

fuyumi: w-why don't we just all sit down and enjoy the food!
y/n: right! the food! i'm sure it'll be delicious!

you said, trying to lighten up the mood

fuyumi: oh stop

she said, smiling.
