INTRODUCTION: This poem is dedicated to all the bookworms out there who, like me get lost in the world of fiction. I wrote this poem with the help of a nerdy friend of mine, and I hope it strikes a chord with you. :)

I open a book,
And into the pages I look,
Through the new world I glide,
The reality I let slide,
With I characters I try to relate,
Because the deeds they do are just great.
I become a part of their world,
It makes me feel strong and bold.
But then my journey takes a turn,
To my world I must return.
Life seems dull when the book is done,
Devoid of excitement or any fun.
My heart yearns to go back,
But for that I need a new book from the stack.
Again I get lost in the world of fiction,
And now it has become an addiction.
