Chapter 21: The Last Date

A few days later i was riding Missy jumping over barrels and other things. When i finally yanked her to a stop i heard clapping from behind me. My mind flashed to my first day back when i heard clapping and it turned out to be Jason but it couldn't be him because i started to here several other sets of hands. I turned Missy around and was shocked at what i saw. Five amazing a girls and a man stood beaming at me while mashing there hands together still. "Woohoo go Dani!" Becca shouted. "Amazing!" Clare commented. The other girls made their remarks as i made my way over. "Great job Dani that was fantastic!" My dad said. "Thanks." I grinned at the people i loved. "What are you all doing here? It's Sunday how did you get your parents to let you miss school?!?" I asked my four friends that were still in school. "We had the week off some one broke into the school Friday night and it was trashed. They stole tons of stuff and broke a lot on their way out!" Becca said. "No way that's horrible!" I stated in horror at the cruelty of some people like who does that that?!? At least no one was in the school when it happened. "I'm just glad school wasn't in session when it happened that would be very bad." My dad said. I nodded "Well i'm going to go take Missy back meet me at the stables!" I said turning around and bolting on Missy back to the stables. As i brushed Missy waiting i sang to her. It was a song my mom used to sing to Sammie and i when one of us was sick or had a nightmare. It was a song about two people in a dark world finding each other and having peace later the man leaves and the girl is upset but eventually she realizes she doesn't need a man to help her through she had everything she needed inside of her she just didn't know it. So basically it was a mix between twilight and the wizard of oz. As i sang under my breath i realized a shadow in the corner of my eye. I turned to see my dad lost in what looked like sad thoughts. "Hey!" I said smiling trying to cheer him up as the rest of the group came in.

Ryan's POV:

I walked in the stable with the group far behind me with their chatting slowing them down and heard Dani singing. She had a beautiful voice and i really hoped that she would soon decide to make a career with her voice but i wasn't going to push anything she didn't want on to her, not again. I Recognized the song she was singing and memories flooded my mind of her beautiful mother.

*Ryan and Dani's mom, Hope, last date** (third person omniscient POV because it sounds better!)

A young rebellious Ryan sat on a blanket under the stars with his beautiful redheaded girlfriend Hope. He ran his fingers through his hair as she sat with her back against him humming very quietly. He loved it when she sang and he wanted to hear more. "Hope, will you sing for me?" He asked. Hope smiled sadly thinking of how this was going to be her last night with him she wanted to make it perfect so he had a nice memory of her. She began to sing one of her favorite songs. As she got to the last verse where the girl became strong again she thought about how hard it was to leave him. When she finished the song she turned to him. "I love you." She whispered. "I lo-" She cut him off "But we have to break up." Ryan was taken aback by what she said. "Why?" He whispered so quietly she could barely hear him. "I'm so sorry Ryan." She got up blew him a kiss and left without another word.

Authors note: Okay i know i am making a habit of posting short chapters but at least i update VERY often i will try to break the habit of short chapter but ya know....
