SEVEN MONTHS LATER...
Things had changed if Gwendoline gave birth to a baby boy the estate would be left to him which mean't that the Oakes would be in trouble. Camilla had convinced Henry to find another family that had a daughter with a big dowry so Ashton would be secure but there weren't any.
The Oakes asked the Rivers over for a discussion about moving forward. When they arrived Camilla had a cat like smile on her face that caused an uncertainty in Gwendoline. They sat down in a dusty, cold room filled with the aroma of thick, sticky fragrances that enveloped their oxygen trying to reach out for their lungs. The seats were clean but had been painted over numerous times. And paint chips were falling off the sides of the coffee table.
Camilla distracted them with the fact that her home was falling apart by talking endlessly about the children. This was interupted by a frustrated peter
"Well we need to discuss what will happen if we have a boy" Camilla gave him a swift discusted glare and then sat opposite to him.
"If this baby is a boy, then we have another girl that Ashton will marry" announced Camilla. Followed by peter shouting
" you rude people what if it is a girl I bet you will still go through with it, some friends".
Through the shouting a few sentences were echoed such as
"We will marry ashton to someone else"
"We are not friends and daisy will never marry the likes of your family".
In the midst if the shouting and tension between Camilla and Peter, Gwendoline sat on the chair breathing heavily trying not to panick. Henry stood silent until he noticed her pain and then he shot to her, trying to help. This is where it had gone hazy. The world sped up and she had lost the baby. It was a baby boy.
