Old Teammate, New Enemy

Davide woke up that morning with disheveled hair like he normally does. He blinked his eyes open and looked around his bedroom. His bed was up against the wall and window, papers were all over his desk, and posters of Darkness dragon world monsters hung on the wall. He then looked over the side of his bed to greet his snake buddy who he assumed was sleeping in his dog bed. As he unfortunately expected, Deathgaze was not there.

He immediately knew if Deathgaze was not in his bed, the snake was in Davide's bed. "Deathgaze I know you're under there. I told you a million times not to sleep at the foot of my bed!" He ripped the gray sheet up hoping to reveal his snake like buddy at the lower end of the bed. But Deathgaze wasn't there which surprised Davide.

He put the sheet down and got out of bed. "Deathgaze? Deathgaze, where are you?" He looked around the rest of his apartment for his buddy. "Where'd he go?"

"Davide?" Davide turned around to see his new roommate, a messy haired Sakate just sitting up on the couch looking very tired and grouchy. "Sakate. Have you seen Deathgaze?" Davide asked. "No...I've been asleep this whole time till you woke me up." Sakate answered, still tired. "Sorry about that. Where could that crazy snake buddy of mine be?" Davide asked as he opened his balcony door thinking Deathgaze was out there.

Just then an arrow flew past his face from the outside and hit the ground right below a startled Sakate's feet. It had a message attached to it. Davide grabbed it and opened it up. 'I have you and your new friends' buddies, Davide, if you want them back, you all bring the rest of your decks to the old disaster force hideout.'

"Someone....Stole our buddies." Davide looked worried at a shocked Sakate.

"What's the SOS Davide?" Noboru arrived at Castle to see Sakate, Bolt, and Davide waiting for him. "Someone stole our buddies." Sakate said worriedly. "What?! Someone stole all our buddies?" Noboru looked shocked and worried. "That's what he just said." Davide said. "Did it happen to you too Noboru?" He asked. "No, remember El Quixote is in Dungeon world." Kitten shirt answered. "So it only happened to the three of us." Sakate said.

"Whoever stole them sent this message." Davide said holding up the arrow message from before. "Yeah and they want the rest of our decks too." Sakate said. "Why? What could they possibly want with our stuff?" Bolt asked. "Wish I knew." Davide answered, crossing his arms and facing the railing.

"Do we even know who this new villain might be?" "Noboru asked." "Well it's not Wisdom I can tell you that much." Sakate said, leaning against the railing. ""It's not Kyoya either right?" Noboru asked. Davide shook his head. "And obviously it wasn't me." Bolt added. "No duh." Kitten shirt said.

Davide sighed. "I might know who it is actually. But I really hope my hunch is wrong."

"Look. I am not going to be able to carry all three of you at once." Bolt said arms crossed as everyone was getting ready to leave. "Well you're the only one who still has your wings. The rest of us don't have our buddies for our buddy skills." Noboru argued. "So? I know I look strong but I'd only be able to carry Sakate." Bolt argued back looking at a confused Sakate. "You calling me short Bolt?" The katana buddyfighter crossed his arms. "No I'm calling you light dummy." Bolt answered. "That's almost the same thing!" "No it's not!"

"Guys stop fighting." Noboru tried to diffuse the situation which seemed to work. "Regardless. I can only carry one person. I'm not as strong as I seem." Bolt said as he transformed into his Ikazuchi form.

"Wait. Didn't you get my red wings that one time?" Bolt asked Noboru. The kitten shirt fighter just looked confused. "What are you talking about?" He asked. Bolt just sweatdropped. "Uhh never mind then." 'That's right, he was under Gratos's control. Of course he wouldn't remember.'
