My hands trembled as I read the mentioned names in the wedding card.

Park Chaeyoung and Jeon Jungkook.

Wedding in less than a week.

I was taken aback by surprise, it was just two years since our graduation - two years since they started dating.

What's the hurry in getting settled right away?

I mean, I understand that's it's their life choices. I guessㅡ why am I so confusing? Well, probably because I hadn't changed even a bit.

Or because, I still hadn't moved on from him.

From Jungkook, I had once loved. The man I had once wished to confess my concealed feelings. But I didn't have the courage, the consequence of which now I'm suffering to see him with someone else, so familiar to me.

With my own best friend, Park Chaeyoung.

My mind often drifts back to the memories of my graduation ceremonyㅡ but instead of merry smiles, all I remember is the day when he got away. The day he broke my heart.

The two of them had followed me to my dorm right after the ceremony was over. Tzuyu being my roommate, instinctively recognized the tension when Chaeyoung broke the news.

"Chae..." I let out amidst sobs.

I immediately ran into Mingyu's arms, tears running down my cheeks. "Don't cry Lisa, it's over now. Someone has the heart in the end, after all." He tried to pacify by stroking my head but his words only hurt me more.

He was right; being a mutual best friend, Mingyu knew that despite our personalities, Jungkook and I couldn't clearly express our feelings. This was bound to happen someday, anyway.

"You know Lis? You shouldn't be so selfless that you end up hurting yourself." "How I wish this wasn't so complicated that I didn't have to care, Mingyu."

I don't know when I started falling for Jungkook. There was something in him that made him different from others.

Things took an abrupt end when Chaeyoung revealed that she too, liked Jungkook. I could see it in her eyes; she had surely loved him for a long time. And honestly, I didn't know what to feel about it.
