7. Brotherly Love

After everything that had happened with Overhaul, the security at the base was increased. Asylum couldn't risk attack like that again, she had to be extra careful from now on, she also had to make sure the League of Villains didn't fall into Overhaul's plans. That's why she sent security to them to make sure that Overhaul wasn't planning to take him down.

Asylum went down to the lab to have her mask fixed, she gave the broken mask to her inventor and he got to work on it. Asylum went to the living area, where she found Hitoshi there at the minibar with a glass of gin. She went over to him and sat down, the man behind the bar gave Asylum a cold soda.

"Some night huh," Asylum said as she opened her soda and took a drink

"Yeah, some night." Hitoshi sighed and drank the rest of the gin, he asked the bartender for more and he poured more. 

"How much gin did you have?" Asylum asked

"Two," He lied

"Don't lie to me, Shinso. You know how much I hate liars."

"I'm sorry," Hitoshi pushed the glass away from him, "I lost count after seven."

Asylum looked at Hitoshi with curiosity, "Why?"

"Because,"  He turned to her, he looked very upset, "I didn't protect you tonight."

"What!? That little slap did nothing to me! Look at me, I'm perfectly fine. I even kicked Overhaul's ass for once."

"You don't get it, Koneko." Hitoshi said, he only says her real name when he was serious so she listened, "He could've done something way worse to you, he was going to kill you and reshape you into something monstrous. I could've stopped him but I didn't. I wasn't strong enough to keep you safe."

"Shinso, it wasn't your fault." Asylum moved closer to him and held his hand, "You did your very best besides you taught me everything I know now. If it wasn't for you, I would've never beat Overhaul tonight. Look at me, Shinso." She asked, he stared into her eyes, "Don't blame yourself for this. We are villains, we are targets, these things will happen. We just need to be prepared for the next time and all the times after it. Most importantly, we need to look out for each other."

Hitoshi squeezed her hand and nodded, "Yeah, you are my little sister. You are all I have now and I don't want to lose you like how we lost the others to our hands, they didn't understand us so they had to be killed."

"Yes, they had to die. The Hero world had corrupted them all, re-educating them would be impossible so death was the only solution." Asylum said

"Yeah," Hitoshi let go of her hand and took another drink of gin

"Hey, go easy on that stuff. Last time, you were so drunk that you nearly went into an alcoholic coma."

"I'm sorry that alcohol keeps me sane." Hitoshi smiles, "Your just mad that you can't handle it."

"I can, I just don't like it. It tastes weird and I can't use my quirk if I'm drunk unlike you." She stuck out his tongue

"Speaking of your quirk, why didn't you use it when you were fighting Overhaul? You could've easily taken him down with it."

"Yeah but it would've been so easy, I wanted to challenge myself and show off my combat skills you've taught me." Asylum told him, "Besides, I've been wanting to kick his ass for a while. That was the perfect chance and I took it."

"You did good, really good. You are a fast learner for someone so immature though,"

"Says the guy who can't go a few minutes without petting Koda," Asylum laughed, Koda was Hitoshi's trusty feline companion aka his pet cat

"Don't bring Koda into this, he did nothing wrong."

"I'll bring Koda into anything cause I can do whatever I want."

"If that's how your gonna play it, I can bring Luna into anything as well."

"You leave her out of this!? She is a good kitty." Luna was Asylum's new kitten that Hitoshi got her a few weeks ago

Asylum and Hitoshi had a very deep connection and love for cats, Asylum had deeper connection cause her mother was half a cat person, unfortunately, she didn't get any cat-like features from her mother but she did get the agility and sneakiness like a cat, which was very useful to her. She could even land on her two feet from very high heights! 

"If you don't bring up Koda, I won't bring up Luna," Hitoshi said

"Deal but if Koda messes with Luna I will kick your ass."

"Deal." He laughed as he took one last drink of his gin, "Can I ask you something?"

"Shoot," Asylum said

"Why did you pick the League of Villains out of every other villain group in the country?"

"They all intrigue me and they fully believe what we believe," Asylum drank the rest of her soda, "Shiggy interests me the most."

"Is that way you followed him to the mall and flirt with him?"

"No! Like I said, when I went there the first time I had no idea that he would be there. Yes, I teased him a bit but that was all. I never flirted with him,"

"Somehow, I don't believe you," Hitoshi told Asylum sarcastically 

"It's true!"

"Asylum, you're like a boy magnet. Whenever you're near a guy, they will instantly fall for you."

"That is not true! I wear a mask most of the time so they can't fall for someone that they have no idea what they fully look like."

Hitoshi laughed again, "Most guys are drawn to girls that look mysterious or is a bad girl. You are both of those things plus you are such a tease, especially with the things you wear."

"What's wrong with the way I dress?"

"Oh, don't get me started. For one, that bodysuit is supposed to cover up your whole body not your lower half and have your upper body completely exposed. Guys could see your cleavage clear as day and you look like a dominatrix when you wear it!"

Asylum crossed her arms over her chest, "I'm pretty sure that's the idea of why I wear it."

"Second, you have a very nice body so you can't wear revealing stuff all the time. Do you listen to me? No, you don't! Whenever you go out to party, you either wear a skirt or a dress to short and you don't wear a bra. Men are animals, they will eat you alive if they see you like that."

"Maybe that's what I want," Asylum mumbled

"What was that!?"

"Nothing!" Asylum smiled at Hitoshi brightly

"I would go on but we would be here all day, my point is you tease men too much."

"I get it, I'll cut back on the teasing alright?"

"You better, we don't want guys coming after you like Overhaul did."

"Don't tell me he came here because he wants me," Asylum laughed

"The way he was looking and talking to you, he was definitely here for you not just to have a partnership with you again."

"Either that guy needs a girlfriend or to get laid, maybe both cause he is lonely and needs a woman's touch to satisfy him."

"Stop talking like that, it's weird." Hitoshi tells her, "Just don't be like that with the league, especially Tomura. I don't like him very well, he seems very weird."

Asylum groaned, "Every person I partner with, you think they are weird. You're weird."

"No, you're weird."

Asylum and Hitoshi fought again like they always did but it was more of a playful fight then an actual argument. 

"Just be careful with Tomura, please Koneko."

Asylum sighed, "Fine, I'll be careful around him but I can't make any promises."

Hitoshi got up from the bar and walked out, he needed to sleep the booze off so he went to his room. Asylum stayed at the bar drinking her soda still, thinking about her next move.
