It was a late night and Tomura was up late playing his video games, as usual, everyone else was asleep or out so he could do what he wanted like he always did. He was thirsty and called Kurogiri but there was no answer, Tomura kept calling and calling him but he never answered. He was confused that Kurogiri wasn't responding to him, he always did when he needed something. Tomura left his room and went to Kurogiri's room to find it empty, his immediate thought was something was wrong because if Kurogiri was going out, he would tell him but he hasn't this time. For once, he was worried about him and tried to call him from his burner phone. He never answered, without a direct location Tomura couldn't start looking for him. He was beginning to panic but he soon calmed himself down waited patiently for Kurogiri's return. he stayed in Kurogiri's room for most of the night, he even fell asleep in there. When he heard the room door open, that's when he woke up. It was Kurogiri. Tomura got up from his bed, still groggy from his slumber.
"Where the hell have you been!?" He said as he rubbed his eyes and yawned
"Tomura, what are you doing in my bedroom?" Kurogiri asked
"Don't dodge the question young man!" He stood up and crossed his arms over his chest, "I was calling you and you never answered, when I checked on you, boom! You're not here, where did you go?"
"I just went out for a walk," Kurogiri simply lied to him
"Bullshit, you would never go out without telling me."
"I had a bad dream and wanted to clear my head, I didn't bother telling you because you were so invested in your video games."
"Villains don't have bad dreams, we're the ones that cause bad dreams!" Tomura pouted
"That doesn't even make any sense,"
"It does! Look, why the hell are you lying to me?" Tomura took a sniff near Kurogiri, "And why the hell do you smell like vanilla?"
"I made Toga a milkshake,"
"That was earlier, it's been hours! Vanilla doesn't stay on you for hours. Besides, she had a chocolate milkshake not vanilla"
"Actually vanilla can stick to your body for a long period of time."
Tomura gave up, Kurogiri had every excuse he just stormed out of the room and went to his room. He was determined to find out what Kurogiri was hiding.
In the afternoon, Tomura called Toga, Twice, and Mr. Compress into his room. He assigned them to stake out Kurogiri and see where he goes while everyone is sleeping or gone. The three accepted the assignment, eventually, Dabi joined along cause he had nothing better to do, and spying on Kurogiri seemed interesting to him. The day ended and the group pretends to go to sleep. After a while, Kurogiri heads out without anyone knowing. The group got up and quickly went after Kurogiri, it wasn't long before they saw him get into a black car and drive off. They couldn't follow him because they were on foot and they couldn't get the license number of the car because there was no license plate. They couldn't follow Kurogiri so they went back to the hideout and reported to Tomura about what they saw.
"So you're telling me, Kurogiri got in a black car willingly?" Tomura asked
"Looks like it," Dabi told him
"It seemed he didn't want anyone to know about it cause he did look around him before getting inside." Mr. Compress told him
"The windows were super dark so we couldn't see anybody else inside the car!" Twice informed him
"This whole thing is fishy," Toga commented
Tomura didn't know what to do, he didn't know what to think. There was no way Kurogiri was betraying him or the league but there was something that was going on that he would lie to them and leave secretly. He told the league to investigate further anyway they could but they couldn't let Kurogiri know at all, so the league came up with a plan.
