14. Sweet Talk

Tomura and Asylum didn't realize that the drive back home would take a while but they didn't mind, although it was a bit awkward because they didn't talk to each other. They were close to the hideout when Asylum pulled over to an ice cream shop that was still open and turned off the car.

"Why did we stop?" Tomura asked her

"I'm gonna get some ice cream, you want some?" 

"What? No! Take me home right now."

"Not after I have something sweet in my system. You're too sweet for me so ice cream is the only option." She teased

That comment caused Tomura's cheeks to glow bright red, "W-What the hell!? Why would you say something like that?"

Asylum laughed, "Oh my gosh, your reaction was priceless!" She took off her seatbelt and opened the door of the car, "Are you sure you don't want anything?"

"I'm sure," he said stubbornly

"Are you really sure?"

"Yes,"

"Are you really really sure?"

"Yes!" He yelled at her

"I'm gonna get you something." Asylum said as she got out of the car and went inside the shop. Tomura waited patiently for Asylum's return and within five minutes she back with a vanilla ice cream in a small bowl and an ice cream sundae in another small bowl. She got in the car and held the vanilla ice cream to Tomura, "Here you go!"

Tomura looked at the ice cream then at her, "Why is it that you do the opposite of something I say, like this." He gestured toward the ice cream

"It doesn't hurt to ask."

"Why do you do that?"

"I"m not sure."

"Jeez, you are so weird."

"Are you gonna take the ice cream or not cause I will eat it I you don't take it."

Tomura rolled his eyes and took the bowl from Asylum, she began to happily eat her sundae. Tomura hesitated but he took off his hand from his face and quietly ate the ice cream. Asylum glanced at Tomura then she just stared at him. Tomura saw her staring, he got a bit embarrassed.

"If you're going to say something, just say it," Tomura advised

"I never have seen your face without that hand or any other mask covering it."

"I know, it's hard to look at-"

"You have a cute face." Asylum said without thinking

"W-What!?" Tomura blushed

"Honestly, I thought you would have burns or an asymmetrical face but you look cute. The eczema isn't that bad, you need some special lotion to take care of it."

"How do you know what kind of skin condition is?"

"I have it too."

Tomura snorts, "No you don't,"

Asylum showed her elbows to Tomura, the skin was flaky and dry, "It's not as bad as yours but I have it. They're mostly on my knees and elbows for some odd reason but they can appear on other areas of my body."

Tomura looked at it, he even touched it with his index finger, "Hm, I guess you're not lying."

Asylum put her arms down, "Why would I lie about something like that, besides we made a deal that I would never lie to you."

Tomura blushed again, he forgot about the deal they made, "You got a point there."

"Anyways, you should show your face more often, you know when we meet and stuff not in public." she told him, "You have a very handsome face."

Tomura looked away from Asylum so she wouldn't see his blush on his pale face, "Why the hell does she make me feel so...weird." he thought

The two villains ate ice cream in the car for a while, Asylum finished her sundae and just sat there looking down at her empty bowl. "You know, I didn't mean to lie to you."

Tomura had finished his ice cream when he heard her say, "What do you mean?"

"I didn't mean to lie to you about the shipment, I just went along with what Shinso was telling me. It was his idea,"

"Why would he tell you to lie to us?"

"He was afraid that if I told you the truth, you would think that I was setting you up by secretly working with Overhaul and blah blah blah," Asylum told him, "I know, lying just made me untrustworthy to you. I was just doing what Shinso was telling me."

"But you are the leader of the Yakuza, why are you taking orders from your brother," Tomura asked

"I know but I'm still learning to be a leader, I may be fearless but I do need some help from time to time. Yeah, it may not be the next advice but hey, it's there."

Tomura looked at Asylum curiously, she was talking to him like a normal person. It wasn't business talk, she was talking about her. It was strange to him but it was comforting, that meant she trust him but why? 

"I know your learning but you need to take charge of your organization, getting advice is important but you don't have to take orders from them as a side character." Tomura told her, "You're the main character of your own game, there is so much to learn but you got this. It may be dangerous but when you finish off that raid boss, you win. You want that, don't you?"

"Yeah, I want that more than anything."

"I want that as well, just remember that ok?"

That made Asylum smile, she and Tomura never had a real, normal conversation and he wasn't being mean to her, "Okie dokie~"

Her bright smile made Tomura's heart skip a beat, he didn't understand why he was feeling so weird. He threw his empty bowl out the window and turned away from her, "Can we go home now?"

Asylum threw her bowl out her window and started the car, "Of course, Shiggy."

"Stop calling me that!"

"Never!" She laughed as she drives him home

Once they were at the hideout, Tomura took off his seat belt but he ended up disintegrating it by accident. Asylum had never seen him use his quirk before but she knew he didn't mean to.

"Sorry," Tomura exclaimed

"It's fine, it's only a seat belt." Asylum smiled at him, "See ya later, Shiggy."

Tomura growled and got out of the car. He didn't look back at her and just went back inside, Asylum drove back to her face with a smile on her face. When Tomura entered the bar, everyone was there, drinking and hanging out. Tomura sat at the bar and asked Kurogiri for soda, Kurogiri handed the soda to him and looked at him. Tomura's cheeks were bright red and he looked confused.

"Is something the matter Tomura?" Kurogiri asked

"I'm fine, why do you ask?" 

"Because your cheeks are red."

It would seem that his cheeks got brighter he put his hand on his face to hide it, "My cheeks aren't a different color! I'm fine, just fine."

Toga went over to Tomura, "How was the meeting with Asylum, what did you guys talk about?"

Tomura informed everyone about the possible mole in Asylum's organization, he advised everyone to be cautious around the people that is working for Asylum and look out for some strange activity around the hideout. Everyone understood and aware of the dangers of this potential mole around them. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be long before the mole's plan to take effect.
