Kenma's POV

"Yeah I didn't really know how to feel at first I guess." Kuroo told me as we laid beside each other on his bed. I just admired him and kept my eyes glued to his, making sure that he knew I was listening. "I don't know why some dumb word made me feel as horrible as I felt. It even made me want to stay away from you for a while," Kuroo sighed, "but that made me feel way worse." He added.

"I'm so sorry kitten." He said, while shutting his eyes and furrowing his eyebrows. I placed my hand on his cheek and his eyes slowly opened to reveal a different expression. "All that matters right now is the fact that you're okay. I don't care about what you said because I know you didn't mean it. These are all new feelings so it's okay." I told him, while caressing his face. "Yeah but the thing is, it's not okay. You're the person that's more fragile and I basically decided that your feelings didn't matter. I should've thought about you too." He sighed.

"Kuro- you are seriously always there for me so it's okay. You've also never been through something like this, so it's understandable that you were only thinking about you for once. I'm not always supposed to be considered y'know." I tried to convince him. "No, you're wrong." He shook his head and sat up. I sat up as well. "You will always be my first priority Kenma. I made a promise with myself when we were really young; that I'd always be there for you even when I'm feeling down." He stated.

I felt my heart start to race. "But I broke that promise and left you in the dust." He slapped his forehead. "Why would you do that?" I asked him, he looked over at me and looked slightly confused. "Do what?" He wondered. "Make me your first priority?" I said with a dumbfounded look. "Well there's a couple of reasons I guess. First of all, I love you. Second of all, you're my best friend. And lastly, no matter how annoying I was and how much I forced you into doing things that I liked, you always, and I mean always, stayed by my side without hesitation." He replied.

I rolled my eyes as my cheeks flushed and Kuroo smiled. "Kenma, you don't like volleyball, and yet you still play because of me. Because I want you to be there." He added. I sighed and laid back down. "I enjoy volleyball sometimes." I argued. "I know you do now, but back when I first wanted you to join, I saw how much you really didn't want to. And yet, here you are." Kuroo said and laughed, making me smile along with him. Kuroo cuddled up next to me and kissed my cheek.

"I never ever want us to separate Kenma." He softly spoke. "I always want to be with you, even if we're forced to just be friends, I don't ever want to leave your side." He told me. "Why would you say something like that?" I said and smacked his arm. "You're mine and you're not going anywhere." I announced. Kuroo wrapped himself around me. "Okay." He giggled.

Kuroo's POV

We laid there for a little longer and I decided to initiate yet another kiss, even though Kenma and I already kissed for a while earlier. So maybe this was pushing it. "More kissing?" Kenma said as our lips detached. He read my mind. "I'm going to kiss you whenever I get the chance." I said and pulled him closer, filling the space between us. Kenma pushed me back and gave me a dirty look. "Oh come on, please? Just a little more?" I whined.

"I let you do even more than kissing today, so I've had enough. Give me some personal space for once jeez." He said and sat up. I giggled and stood up, then I started to walk to my door. "You hungry?" I asked him. Kenma's face lit up. "Oh shoot that's right! We have to clean ourselves up and go to my house!" Kenma said and stood up, rushing to put his shirt back on. "Why what's going on at your house?" I wondered. "You'll see." He said and smiled, making me curious to what he planned.

Kenma grabbed my hand and we set out to walk over to his house. As we entered, we were greeted by some of our friends. Hinata, Akaashi and Bokuto stood in Kenma's kitchen and it looked like they were making some sort of meal. "Koutarou!" I yelled as one of my best friends jumped into my arms. "You need to text me more you piece of trash!" He yelled
and repetitively punched my arm. Akaashi waved to me and Hinata gave me a high five. It was really nice to see some of my friends after a long time.
