Settling down in bed for the night, the empty space next to me has me tossing and turning. Missing Jin's hold I've grown to need to be able to fall asleep comfortably.
But as I lay there, my purse sat on the chaise lounge in the corner of the room keeps grabbing my attention. Knowing that in that bag lies the door to my past, the phone number for a man I thought I would never see again is at my disposal, and I have no idea what to do with it.
But I do know I need answers.
Sitting up in the bed I find myself shuffling across the room, pulling out the business card and just staring at it before looking up at the clock that hangs on the wall.
"Midnight.."
It's too late to call him, if he's not sleeping he's probably at an after party. But then again if he is sleeping he probably won't answer and then it's no harm done...
Before I even realise what I'm doing I'm holding my phone to my ear, the ringtone sounding through me as I nibble on my lip.
After a few rings I decide to give up before I get his voicemail, taking him not answering as an omen that I'm not even supposed to be making this call.
"Hello?"
"Oh! Um... Jungkook?" I jump slightly hearing his voice.
"Hello angel."
The mention of the nickname he gave me as a teenager has my voice caught in my throat, the way his velvety soft tone makes me feel as if he's kissing my ear makes me lose all sense of the world as I listen to him breathing down the line.
"Y/N?"
"Uh yeah?"
"You called me?"
"Yeah! Right! Um... I just called because... actually... I don't know why I called to be honest with you."
"I know why." He says, obvious that he's smiling by his tone.
"You do?" I raise an eyebrow at his confidence.
"It's because you miss me and you want answers."
"Jungkook you shouldn't be saying that." I shake my head sitting on the edge of the bed.
"And why not? It's true isn't it?"
"No! And I'm married now. But also so are you. You shouldn't be saying things like that when you're a married man, it's wrong."
"What's wrong is my running away from you all those years ago."
"If it was so wrong why didn't you come back to me?"
"Because it was too late."
"Why now? Why are you suddenly showing up after ten years Jungkook?"
