As the plane lands in LAX, the usual California weather does nothing to boost my mood

As the plane lands in LAX, the usual California weather does nothing to boost my mood. As I'm grabbing my bag from the overhead bin, all I can think about is what the hell I'm going to do when I get home.

I know I said I had a plan in place. But that's my final plan, I didn't actually go over our first conversation in my head. I've been so busy thinking about how I'm going to take him down that I completely forgot what I'm going to do in the lead up to it.

Thanking the cabin crew as I walk off of the aircraft, Jimin comes sliding up beside me, throwing his arm over my shoulder and pulling me into him, making my eyebrows crease in confusion.

"My manager told me it's swarming with paparazzi out there. Take this to cover yourself and keep your head low." Handing me his leather jacket, he helps me place it over my head before guiding me through the terminal to the customs area.

"Thanks Jimin but I think I'm safe for now." I smile genuinely at him, handing his jacket back once we get in line.

"You never know." He shrugs, taking it from me and flinging it over his one shoulder. "Just make sure you don't go out into the arrivals area without me okay?"

"Why are you being so nice to me lately?" I ask him, honestly interested in his sudden change in character as of late.

"Because you are in a really fucked up situation Y/N. And no one deserves to be treated the way the tabloids have been treating you. Also because Jin is my friend, I'd like him to think he could at least trust me to take care of his wife."

"I see." I nod before dropping my head to watch my feet scuffing the floor. "Well thanks."

"No problem." He smiles. "You're up next. And make sure you wait for me!"

After passing through customs, I did as I was told and waited by the exit for him. Not failing to notice Jungkook giving me a soft smile as he waits at the back of the line.

But as much as it pains us, we need to behave. He was right when he said that if we had an affair we would be no better than them. So as of right now we just need to bide our time and wait for all of this to be over so we can finally have what we really want.

"Ready?" Jimin asks as he comes over. Giving him a soft nod I allow him to place his jacket back over my head before guiding me through the exit doors. With my vision blocked out by his leather jacket I can't see the number of paparazzi, but I can certainly hear them screaming my name. And by the sounds of it, there must be hundreds of them, each of them throwing questions about my marriage at me.

Feeling him squeeze me tight into his side, I hear the click of a car door opening before he pushes me inside. Once I hear the door close I pull the jacket off of my head, just to see him sitting beside me.

"That was fucking wild." He chuckles, taking his jacket back and smoothing down my hair.

"Thanks for the help Jimin." Joe smiles at him as he looks back at us from the front seat. "You were right, they won't touch her if you're the one protecting her."

"Yeah any time." He nods. "Just drop me off by the rangerover up there, I told my driver to wait for me by the other exit."

"Really Jimin, thank you. You didn't need to do that for me." I tell him, genuinely grateful for his help.

"Meh it was nothing. Just tell Jin I said hi and give him a big kiss for me." He chuckles as we drive away from the crowd.

Hi? Maybe. Kiss? Hell fucking no! I need to figure out how to avoid my husband like the goddamn plague.

Pulling up to the curb, he jumps out giving me one last smile before closing the door and walking over to his own car.

The drive home took us a little over an hour, but with me not actually wanting to go home it actually felt like it only took 10 minutes. Because before I knew it we were pulling up to the gates of my home, the familiar surroundings making me feel sick to my stomach. Knowing that this was the setting of my husband's love affair.

Especially when the gates opened revealing my husband stood at the door with a big grin on his face. As the driver pulled up in front of him, Jin came skipping down the steps and opened my door for me.

"Hi baby! He coos, pulling me out of the car.

"Hi Jin." I responded flatly, showing no emotion as he pulled me into his arms.

"I'm so glad you're home." He whispers into my ear as the driver places my luggage by our feet.

Not answering him, I pull away from the hug to turn and look at Joe who is leaning out of the passenger-side window with a not so subtle scowl etched on his face.

"Y/N, you have a couple of weeks to rest until award season. Use them wisely." He says, narrowing his eyes at Jin before looking back at me. "Call me if you need anything."

With that the car is pulling away, leaving me standing alone on my driveway with my unfaithful husband gripping onto my hand.

"I have a surprise." He beams, grabbing my suitcase and pulling me into the house.

As we walk inside, he pauses in the foyer grinning down at me as if I should notice something different.

"I cleaned!"

"Why?" I frown at him before he pulls me in for another hug.

"Because I missed you baby and I know you must be tired. Did you miss me?"

Not one bit you cheating scum.

"Sure."

Bit of a shorter chapter than usual but meh. I only had 5 hours sleep.
