Colette always hated cites.
She wasn't exactly pleased to be running right into it, but she knew she had to. She pulled an arrow out from her quiver and loaded her bow as the group began to run through the city. The heat from the sun had everyone sweating but it didn't stop Colette from running ahead of the guys.
Colette slowed down and called out to the men behind her. "Where to first?"
Daryl scoffed as he reached the woman. "Merle. We ain't having this conversation."
Rick glared at him. "Yes, we are. Glenn, you know the geography. It's your call."
"Merle's closest. The guns would mean doubling back. Merle first." Glenn said out of breath as he jogged next to everyone.
Colette fell back as and motioned them to continue. "I'll watch the back. You guys lead the way."
The men ran ahead of her with high alert as Colette watched their backs. It wasn't until she noticed someone fell back with her. Confused she turned to see it was Daryl running beside her. Colette went to say something but bit her lip and looked ahead. She was going to ask why he fell back but this man is unpredictable. Who know's what's actually going through his head.
It wasn't until Glenn had led the group to an alleyway. Glenn opened the back door to a building which the group followed him into. Colette being the last one in, she slammed the door shut behind her.
The group stalked quietly as they proceeded towards the main entrance. They paused as they caught sight of a walker. Daryl walked over to it with a glare as he observed the walker. "Damn. You are one ugly skank..."
With a pull of a trigger, an arrow pierced the walkers head. Walking over to the walker, he pulled his arrow out and loaded his crossbow once more. Daryl quickly ran off and up all the stairs that led to the roof. He was impatient to release his brother. The group ran to catch up with him. Once at the top, T-Dog cut the chains with the bolt cutter. Daryl kicked the door open aggressively and ran in screaming Merle's name.
Colette's mood fell as she saw no sight of Merle, except for a bloody hand next to a pair of handcuffs. Worriedly her gaze fell on to Daryl who had lost hope.
"NO. NO!" Daryl cried out.
Her eyes shifted to the blood on the floor. Curiously she went to follow the trail only to stop when she heard commotion behind her. Turning her head she saw the men in a stand off. Daryl had his bow pointing right in T-Dog's face. Rick had his gun pointing at Daryl's head.
Glenn was fidgeting where he stood nervously at how much noise they were all making.
