I felt like I was suppose to start searching for a new potential best friend, for when Sam would be leaving. But that just sounds sad really. That I'll be needing someone else to keep me from being lonely when everyone is leaving because I refuse to go.
Sam's all I really have apart from Billie, and it was vice versa. As to why I didnt wanna just leave her. But I'm not mad for her leaving me because in the end its whats right.
"You don't seem happy Harmony," Sam pouted looking through the glass at me, sat on the other end behind all the recording buttons and equipment.
Mike, Tre and Billie were late. I sat in the recording section in the studio, swaying back and forth on a stool. "I'm fine," I sighed again.
She squinted her eyes trying to read me, seeing if even she believed me or not. "Are you sure?"
"Yes I'm-"
"-Coffee machines broke again," A voice said completely cutting me off. Sam and I looked over at Billie who was switching his focus to the both of us.
"Get someone to fix it then?" Sam gave him a 'Duh' sort of tone.
"Jens out of office,"
"So what are we suppose to do about it?" I asked him.
"Come help me out please Har?" He asked me in particular, giving me puppy eyes.
I sighed, before standing to my feet and making my way out of the studio with him. We walked over to the coffee machine, a paper cup already paced there ready. I pressed a few buttons on the coffee machine expecting it to freeze, steam up or something.
But the coffee came out perfectly. I watched it, before looking over at Billie. "The coffee machine isn't broken?"
"Did y'know that Sam's coming with us?" He casually asked, carelessly leaning on the wall beside the coffee machine with his arms crossed. A look of interest on his face.
I nodded, taking the coffee understanding what he did. "She asked me what I thought about it yesterday," I shrugged, taking a sip.
It wasn't like I was gonna waste perfectly good coffee was it?
"And what did you say?"
"I said she should. If anything I told her she has to y'know? She didnt get to have anything with Tre because of me specifically. I owed her. It was the least I could say,"
"And you're happy with that?"
"Yeah, y'know? She was given a second chance. I'm not letting her ruin it for me. That would make me a shitty friend,"
"And your opinions on leaving with me are....?"
"Still a no Beej,"
"Right..." He stopped leaning on the wall, be pulled his lips in to his mouth nodding. "Just checking,"
"Billie I'm sorry. Theres just so many things that could go wrong... y'know? I would rather play its safe. But I've got your number. So if- I for some reason change my mind. I'll give you a call,"
"Promise to only call me if you're coming,"
"Not even for a conversation?"
He shook his head. "Harmony I can't have you on the border line of being in my life. Trust me, I don't wanna go back to not having you at all. But if you really dont wanna come with me I don't think I can just talk normally with you like friends. I dont know if I can do that,"
I moved one of my feet back, standing differently as I looked at him offendedly. "Why not?"
"Well... I don't wanna carry on missing you knowing you didn't wanna come... playing it safe, y'know?"
