imogene's eyes fluttered open as she winced.
"oh my gosh. you're finally awake!" the sound of her parents surrounded the room as they gave imogene a hug. "why'd you do such a thing?" her mother asked but she didn't answer.
"you stupid, stupid girl!" her father pointed at her but yet again she stayed silent.
suddenly her friends and the boy she loved walked into the hospital room.
dried tears stains were on their faces as a smile appeared once they saw her.
they all hugged her and told her how much they loved her.
"we love you so much." she heard mattia whisper.
imogene tried to reply but she couldn't. it was like her mouth was sewn together.
"i-imogene," kairi started as he sat down next to her on the bed. all imogene could do was watch him. "i- i just wanted to say that i love you so so much and i know i never got the chance to ask you to be my girlfriend and i'm so mad at myself for that. don't worry.. katie is going to pay for putting you through hell. god, imogene. why'd - why'd you have to do this? you could've spoken to one of us.."
imogene tried to reach out for him and pull him into a warm hug but she couldn't move.
suddenly, memories of her child hood flashed through her head.
memories of her taking her first few steps.
memories of her saying her first word, mama.
she was always closest to her mom.
memories of her laughing with her child hood friends.
memories of her walking through the high school doors alone since all of her best friends went to other schools.
memories of her posting her first ever tiktok to social media in sophomore year.
memories of her turning on her gaming console and opening up GTA only for her to meet the love of her life and her best friends.
memories of her becoming best friends with alyssa, mattia and alejandro.

after the flag backs stopped she looked down at her body and then back up only for the whole room to go white and a flashing bright light take over her vision.
