Better Together Part 3

The Mission

Night had finally fallen across the sky and the team was waking up to prepare for the daring rescue. "Everyone ready?" Daniela asked as she put the teleporter on the ground. Everyone gave a quick nod or a thumbs up to show that they were ready. She nodded and put the machine in the ground but then pushed a few buttons that started it up. "We'll be teleported right away from Wildcats Academy but real near it. Just be ready in case they attack us." Nathalie told them. Once everyone was ready, the machine was making buzzing noises before activating and letting them go through the portal. Once through the main part, they arrived at another land where they were able to recover and see where they were. "We're here aren't we?" CC asked them. Her two brothers nodded and told them to follow them to a hidden section of the outside yards.

Many of them saw Wildcats roaming around with shields, swords, and other weapons. "Aw, man! They blocked off the spot where we came out!" Perrin whispered. "Well is there another way to get in?" Kat asked. "The only other way in is through that barn but there's no way the guards over there would be able to miss you." Braden whispered. CC looked at the barn where she noticed a bunch of cattle getting herded back into the barn. She checked her pockets and looked to Yoani and Synclaire. "You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" CC asked them. "Oh my gosh yes!" Synclaire silently squealed. "No! No, I swear CC!" Yoani pleaded.

The Wildcats were gathering all the cows to go into the barn and were groaning and complaining. "I hate having to do this! I'm only doing it because I don't want to be locked up!" a boy whined. "Me either but it beats having to be scrap. Let's just lock up these last cows and head inside." the other remarked. Suddenly as they were about to lock up the gate, they heard loud moos from behind. Along the edge, they heard them walking and trampling as they walked across the grass and ate. "Um, did we miss three?" asked the first one. "I don't know. Oh well, just get them here so we don't get in trouble." the second replied. Carefully they pushed the cows along and pushed them into the pen. "Alright you go ahead, let me lock the barn." the second one told him. "Alright, see ya." the first one nodded before running off into the place.

As the second Wildcat locked the gate, the cow kicked him in the leg before ramming him into the wall knocking him out. Right then the three cows shook their heads to ring the bells around their necks to then transform into humans. "It worked!" CC cheered. "That was a good one!" Synclaire cheered. "Never again, we will not speak of this!" Yoani replied. After having a quick laugh, they signaled for the rest of the group to come along towards the barn. "I didn't think it would be that hard to sneak in this way. Let's go through this way so we can get into the main storage." Perrin told them and finally, they opened the door inside the barn. They walked inside the storage place and walked around the place where cattle feed and seeds were kept. "Heat vision goggles please!" Nathalie asked. CC handed it over and she looked through them. Outside she saw the Wildcats right outside where they were just laughing and joking around. "Does anyone have any ideas?" she asked. Vincent shrugged and knocked over a box in the storage place.

This immediately got their attention and the group moved everybody up to the very top of the ceiling. Right as the Wildcats came inside. "I swear I thought I heard something." the she Wildcat cried. "Me too, oh well. I'll just pick up this box that fell." the other male Wildcat replied and picked it up. But right then they were ambushed and were kicked in the head and knocked out in the storage room. "Got em!" Brenna replied and the rest of them came down. They left the small space to walk out and locked the door from the outside. "Aren't you worried they're going to break out?" Jose asked. "C'mon bro, everyone knows Wildcats don't have magic or strength. They'll be stuck there until something or someone lets them out." Braden replied. Everyone then ran off to another section of the Academy where they passed art sections and labs. That's when Kate stopped them to tell them about something. "There's five Wildcats over there, what do we do?" she asked. "It would ruin it if someone like us went out there!" Bella replied motioning to her wings. "It'd be weird for us too! We don't have patterns like Wildcats!" Daniela added. CC thought for a minute and looked at Brenna and Hannah.

Brenna noticed and immediately got a bad feeling. "CC... what are you thinking?" she asked, suspicious of her. "Hand me that crayon." CC told Synclaire. The group of Wildcats were all together and laughing about certain stuff but seemed somewhat sad. "This shift better end soon because I don't wanna be stuck here." said the lead male Wildcat. "Tell me about it, after the leader was overthrown everything's been a mess." the second lead male Wildcat. "The only thing I hate is that nothing exciting ever happens." went a third Wildcat male. Suddenly they heard a thud on the ground. "Who's there?" the leader demanded. "I'm so sorry. I couldn't help it, these jars are so darn heavy!" Brenna replied, picking up the jars she had. Immediately they stared at her and watched as she looked at them fluttering her eyes. "Oh u-um, it's no issue. I-I've never seen you around before." the leader stuttered.

"Do you mind if my friend comes over?" Brenna asked calmly. "S-Sure I suppose it wouldn't hurt." he replied. Hannah then walked out, heels clicking on the hard cold floor. "Hello, pleasuring night isn't it?" Hannah replied and looked at them, fluttering her eyes. Brenna looked back at the group members who motioned for her to say more. "We're all alone right now, but we kinda got a little lost. Can you help us?" she asked. The other boys looked suspiciously at the girls but the leader was already intrigued. "S-Sure, uh, yes! Um, where do you want to go?" he asked nervously. "We got the job of guarding the prison cells. Can you lead us there? It's our first night and we're still a little nervous about going down there." Hannah asked. "O-Of course. Right this way ladies." he replied and the two followed him. The rest of the Wildcat group followed their leader and the other group quietly followed along. "So, newbies, since you've clearly never been towards the dungeon, where were you before?" asked the second lead Wildcat.

Brenna looked back at Hannah a little nervous but came up with something. "We worked together in the cleaning service!" Hannah finally replied. "That's right! W-We washed dishes and vacuumed." Brenna added. The leader was still dazed and couldn't keep his eyes off the two. "Funny you say that. We don't have a cleaning service here." the second leader sneered. The two's faces started to panic on the inside. "What do we do?" Allijah asked, fearing for the group. "Fabian cut it out! Maybe they mixed it up! Now hush before I tear out your eye socket!" the leader snapped before pushing both girls in front of them.
