Better Together Part 3

Power and Betrayal

They took all the stones and place each set in the ten parts there were on the strange-looking table. "Push it!" Brogan demanded from Paige who immediately obeyed. She took one big push and the wheel started to turn without any trouble anymore. At first, nothing really seemed to happen until the stones started glowing at the same time. "Stones, give me and my Wildcat friends the power we've been yearning for!" Brogan demanded. The stones soon rattled on the table and beamed out magic and power from themselves. Soon it landed on the Wildcats who were trapped inside a small bubble for a minute.

After a second, they were released from the bubble, and when they landed on their feet on the ground. Their stripes now glowed, the tips of their fangs were now more visible, their eyes were now Amber and slits were much thinner. "This is great!" Brogan cried. Everyone else laughed evilly and looked right at the others who trembled. "You know it's been a while since Wildcats were able to be top! We'll show you just how we feel!" Brogan roared. "Maybe I'll just start off with something simple." he sneered and looked right at CC who fell back in her cage. He sent a blast of power right at her which then caused her cage to burst open. She slammed into the wall and tried to catch her breath. "WOW! That's amazing!" he cried. "Um, you guys, you promised to turn me into a Wildcat once you-" Paige began.

"Hang on now! Uh, let me just-" Brogan interrupted and looked at the ice. He melted it with one small blast which made the huge chunk of ice above start to fall down a little more. "Haha! We can do all sorts of things!"

While the Wildcats tried out their new powers, CC looked over at the stones and began to crawl over towards them. "Now, to finish what we've started. To start taking over all the Academies and all the land!" he announced. The rest of them laughed and were ready to begin. "Yes, you are just as powerful as I promised you guys. Now please, turn me into a Wildcat and I swear to you, I will use my power and knowledge to serve you guys!" Paige replied and dipped her head in respect. "Ha! Do you really think we'd turn you into one of us? Get lost." Brogan snapped. "But... but... we had a deal!" Paige protested. "Oh my god, Paige! You've known us forever! Get it through your skull!" Crystal snapped.

CC finally made it to the stones and nodded to her friends who expressed support. She managed to get most of the stones out with the help of her own powers and began to try to help her friends out. "We used you! I mean... it's what we like doing!" Brogan chuckled. "You freaking rats!" Paige snapped and used her magic to throw them back. CC now had to fly all over the place to avoid their fury. She couldn't even start to open the cages before someone came flying at her. At a point, a huge hole was made in the ground and everyone was trying to avoid it. "You'll be sorry you ever set eyes on me!" Paige glared using her magic to stop them. "You're as weak as you are gullible! Go rot!" Marianna snapped and threw a blast at Paige. Paige flew back and was being knocked right into CC who didn't see her in time.

Immediately the two crashed into each other and weren't able to recover in time. CC, Paige, and the stones all fell into the huge hole made in the ground. All her friends shouted her name for her as the two continued to fall down the infinite opening. With all the added chaos, the ice slab stressed out and it began to fall right where the hole was. The Wildcats moved out of the way and the group shouted for their friend. "CC!" Bella shouted. "No! How could you!" Synclaire snapped. "She's our friend! She's not someone you use!" Allijah snapped. "Shut it you guys! We've got things to do. And you're coming along!" Amelia snapped. "Oh no we're not! Leave us out of your monstrous plans!" Hannah shouted.

"You don't get a say. You're going to serve all of us in the end. Now be good little slaves and let's get going shall we?" Brogan snapped. They thumped the cages and all of them began to head out. "Wait, aren't you worried about the stones?" William asked him. "Nah, we don't need them anymore, so let's finish what we've started!" Brogan replied triumphantly. "C'mon CC, you've escaped death once... please don't give up now!" Emery whispered and they all left the Academy and the Wildcats left for their Academy.
