Chapter Ten

"Night to you too, Channie. I... love you too."

Exposing Strike and Mega may be Chris' main priority, but right now, Chris needed to support his friend.

Today was Changbin's first hockey game of the season.

Chris sat next to all of his friends at their school's hockey rink, anticipating the game just like everyone else in the crowd. This game was probably one of the most important of the season.

Felix jumped excitedly in his seat. "When's it going to start? Oh my god, I'm so ready."

Jisung playfully rolled his eyes. "You're certainly excited."

Felix smiled brightly. "Of course I am! It's Binnie's first game of the season. I've been waiting for this for so long, I couldn't sleep at all last night because I was so excited."

Chris then just noticed some pretty prominent eyebags under Felix's eyes. "Did you actually not sleep last night?"

Felix nodded. "Yeah. I couldn't wait for this game."

Jisung scoffed. "Imagine being stupid enough to not sleep. What a dumbass."

Felix stuck his tongue out. "Sleep is for the weak."

Jisung shook his head, grumbling almost inaudibly. "...and for the actually smart."

Seungmin turned towards Chris. "Are you excited, hyung?"

Chris nodded. "Yeah. Changbin has some mad hockey skills. You'll see them soon."

"I can't wait to s-"

Seungmin got interrupted by Felix screeching. "Oh my god! It's starting!"

Chris turned his attention back to the ice, seeing a couple of players of both teams skate onto the ice. Chris watched as the players began to warm up a bit, a few of them waving to the crowd.

And then Changbin skated onto the ice.

Felix immediately started screaming, Jisung almost immediately cringing and covering his ears. Felix stood up. "Go, Binnie!"

Changbin looked up into the crowd, smiling as soon as his eyes landed on the group of friends, waving his gloved hand at them. Felix started to yell even louder.

Jisung fell to the floor, hands still covering his ears. "Oh my god! Shut up!"

Chris chuckled. 

Sometimes, Felix was so loud that you'd be surprised to learn that he was deaf.

The game started, the hockey players taking their initial positions. Changbin went to the left-winger position, setting his hockey stick onto the ice.

Chris watched as Changbin stared off at the members of the other team, a determined look on his face that can be seen, even through his helmet.

The referee skated towards the center of the rink, the crowd suddenly going quiet. Everyone was waiting for him to drop the puck.

The room was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.

Chris held his breath, anticipating the start just like everyone else.

Then the referee dropped the puck onto the ice.

As soon as the puck clattered onto the ice, the crowd immediately burst to life, the two center position players fighting for the puck.

Chris and all of his friends started cheering as soon as they saw their school's center get ahold of the puck, passing it towards their right-winger. The right-winger immediately skated towards the goal, the defensemen skating over towards the right-winger in an attempt to stop him.

The right-winger wasn't having it though.

The right-winger hit the puck, causing it to slide across the ice, in between the opposing right defenseman's legs, and right towards Changbin.

The crowd crescendoed. That was a pro gamer move.

The crowd got even more worked up as Changbin skated towards their goal, taking his shot.

The goalie attempted to stop Changbin's hit, but the puck managed to pass the goalie, going straight into the goal.

The crowd immediately freaked out.

That was probably one of the fastest goals of the season.

Felix stood up on his seat, yelling. "Fuck yeah! That's my boyfriend right there!"

Chris smiled. This hockey game was going to be very interesting.

The hockey game ended, their school's team winning four to one.

The group was currently waiting by the rink, Felix rushing them all to get down so they can meet Changbin once he got off the ice.

As soon as Changbin stepped off of the rink, Felix immediately dove and gave Changbin a hug, Changbin stumbling back a bit. Felix smiled brightly. "Binnie! You did amazing!"

Changbin smiled back. "Whoa, Lix. Thank you!"

Felix stepped back, Changbin taking off his helmet. The couple stared at each other quite fondly.

Minho cooed. "Aww, y'all are so cute."

Changbin nodded. "Lix is the cutest thing ever. I love him so much."

Felix smiled. "I love you too, Binnie."

Changbin then pulled Felix into a kiss. 

Jisung fake gagged. "Ugh, stop! I'm so single. Oh my god."

The two stepped out of the kiss after a few seconds. Changbin smiled, looking straight into Felix's eyes. "I'll see you in a bit. I have to go shower since I'm super sweaty. Wait for me outside, okay?"

Felix nodded, his smile coming back. "Of course."

Felix watched fondly as Changbin began to walk to the locker room, giving Felix a final wave before he was out of sight. 

The two were probably one of the most perfect couples ever.

A/N this was actually supposed to be posted last night but I accidentally fell asleep twice while writing it so I just decided to finish it today. sorry lol

i hope i depicted this scene well, this is the only sports scene I've ever written so I'm sorry if it's really bad. I actually personally don't like any sports except for hockey so I am kind of knowledgeable on positions and such and how the game works, but if it was inaccurate and you know it then feel free to correct me.

also imagine not sleeping, how dumb can you be?
