Chapter Thirteen

Time to get some answers.

Mega stood up, the few people that still lingered around the area staring. Chris immediately ripped off the sign from the store they just exited from and threw it at Mega.

Mega gasped, throwing his arms up to throw blades of icy wind to cut through the sign. The pieces of the sign skidded across the floor. The people that were watching almost immediately ran off as soon as they saw them.

Chris gritted his teeth and ripped off the sign of the store from across the one he just did and threw it at Mega. Mega ducked as it flew towards him, running towards Chris as soon as it passed over his head.

Mega clapped his hands together as he ran, a sonic boom emitting from his hands. The wave of sound caused the floor to tremble, Chris losing his balance.

Mega let out a yell and let out a flying kick towards Chris, giving him absolutely no time to recover. Chris flew back, tasting the now quite familiar metallic taste of blood in his mouth.

Fun.

Chris stared at Mega as he approached, staring straight at his masked face.

It could be Minho under that mask.

Chris lifted himself up, throwing the first thing he saw with his mind.

It ended up being some random potted plant.

Mega jumped over the potted plant, landing after doing an unnecessary flip. Mega immediately countered by sending out another sonic boom, the wave of sound reverberating through the area, causing a mini earthquake.

Chris fell to the floor once again.

Yikes.

Mega ran up to Chris and sent an uppercut, hitting Chris' chin spot on. Chris flew upward, seeing stars. Before Chris could land, Mega sent a roundhouse kick, causing Chris to fly back.

Chris flew back into an empty, closed store, the metal shutters clattering and breaking. The sound echoed through the mall, Chris' eyes widening as it did.

Geez, Chris couldn't deny that Mega was a good fighter.

Chris saw Mega start to run into the store through his disheveled and stunned state.

Since the store was closed, the lights were all turned off. The darkness was making it hard to see.

Chris dove behind one of the shelves in the dark, holding his breath to see if he could hear where Mega was.

Mega's footsteps echoed through the dark store, his voice ringing out. "Crash! Where are you?"

Chris crawled to behind another shelf, heart beating fast. He needed to get close to Mega so he can reveal his identity.

Maybe he could draw him right to him.

Chris spoke loud, trying to draw attention to him so that Mega could come right to him. "I'll never tell you."

Chris saw Mega move out of the corner of his eye, his silhouette moving through the dark. "I'll find you."

Chris snuck over closer to where Mega was. "Doubt it."

Mega stopped right next to Chris, looking down at him. "Found you."

Chris suddenly felt nervous. He was so close to finding out whether or not Minho was Mega and it made him feel quite uneasy.

Did he really want to know?

He had to. His guilt, conscience, and trust depended on it.

But he lowkey didn't want to.

Chris stared up at Mega.

He needed to do this.

Chris swiped his hand out, trying to rip off Mega's mask but missing. Mega stepped back in shock. "Oh, don't even think about doing that."

Dang it.

Chris was about to stand up and try again, but then he realized something.

Why couldn't he just use his telekinesis?

Chris mentally sighed before lifting his hand and flicking it after a moment's hesitation, Mega's mask being ripped off of his face.

Mega gasped and covered his face, grabbing the mask off of the floor and putting it back onto his face as soon as possible. Mega immediately retreated.

Chris' breath hitched. Even though Mega was quick to put his mask back on, he clearly saw Mega's face and Chris recognized him almost immediately.

But it wasn't who he thought it was.

It wasn't Minho.

It was Seungmin.

A/N um oh snap, this was probably one of the most anticipated moments in the whole series so far have fun.

for some reason, I've been feeling really depressed and unmotivated and I literally hate my life today but it's fine. haha i love life. :)
