Third Pov

The browned haired boy stood there surprised at seeing his long lost childhood friend.

"Call me Dream, tubbo-"

He sighed heavily, so heavily his pure heart pound in pain, as something inside him screamed for freedom.

"Tubbo..You let them go?" A blond older male said.

He was a knight as well, suited up not only in Diamond but with no mercy.

His eyes searched the back of tubbo's body as the brunette hung his head low, just shoegazzing.

"Luke..please don't tell Tommy- They escaped!"
The younger boy turned around to look at Punz. He began to tear up.

Punz stared at him and for once he felt...bad.

"Who were they?" He asked carefully looking around their surroundings.

"I..I don't know.." Tears roll down his rosy cheeks as Punz debated on what to do.

"Tubbo, I know you know, just tell me." His voice was firm but soft at the same time.

"IT WAS CLAY! Like like, our Clay, remember? When we were in school?" Tubbo finally let it out, somehow Punz words got to him.

"C-clay?" Punz stuttered out, suddenly all that confidence that he always had was gone.

"Let's just head back to report this to Tommy..you know how he gets, but don't worry, I'll do the talking okay? I promise nothing bad will happen-" The blonde male said as he placed a hand on Tubbo's back for comfort.

"-atleast nothing bad will happen to you.." He whispered to himself, not letting Tubbo hear.

They headed down the ladder and into the village on their way to the castle that stood sturdy in the middle of a huge village.

Punz Pov

I couldn't believe Dream came back.

Last time he came back was about months ago, after he left the village he would come and visit and we would meet up every now and then at the roof top of an old abandoned building.

But one day he just stopped showing up.

The last thing he said to me was..

-flashback warning-

"I'm serious Punz, I won't be coming back for a while.." Dream said but I laughed as we stared at the sunset as our legs dangled down the roof top edge.

"I mean let's be honest Dream! This is your home! You'll be back, tomorrow I'm sure of it." I said patting him on the back.

He didn't reply back he just looked off into the distance.

A part of me knew he was telling the truth but I didn't want to believe it.

Dream has always protected us.
