Today was the day. Aelin and the twins had been here for ten years. But no one has known. We thought it would be best to keep it a secret about aelin being able to travel to other worlds. She and her children are just so powerful that it would be to high a risk to let the world know. So we kept it a secret. Until now. We had explained to the twins about what the risks would be if the courts knew about their power. But they wanted to let everyone know. Because ' Graviel and Elentiya never back down from a fight' they yelled in unison. Well El said her name first, and then they got into this huge fight. It was a whole thing. But the main point is that we are letting the highlords and ladies know.

I am so exited to see all the higladies together for the first time. Vivian was appointed high lady after the war with hybern. Tarquin found a husband a couple od years ago and he is now also the highlord. Kallias, thessian and helion all made their wives high ladies. Tamlin is. Well. its complicated. And beron. Oh cauldron boil him and mother bless me. He outright refused to make his wife high lady. This made Eris very very mad. Beron then died of unknown circumstances weeks later and eris and his wife were made high lord and lady. It was a truly tragic accident.

"MOOOM LETS GO!" yells Aelia from downstairs. "STOP TRYING ON TWENTY DIFFERENT OUTFITS. AUNTIE A, EL AND VI ARE ALL READY. SO IS DAD AND THE OTHERS"

I roll my eyes and walk down.

Ae, Vi and El are all standing together by the kitchen counter. Mattie is watching in amazement as Clara shows Lys images of what to shift into. Cassian and Aelin are having a fist fight. Surprise surprise. Celeste and mor are in the living room drinking wine. Isla is straightening her clothes. God she looks so old now. She is seventeen years old and i cannot believe it. It seems like just yesterday she was seven and babysitting Ae. Rhys, Az and Amren are disscussing a strategy for today.

" El and Vi should go in their animal form incase anything goes wrong. That case it would be easier to make a getaway and there would be no way to reconise them if they wanted to find them again" suggests Aelin. I can tell she is nervous. I would be too.

"Thats a good idea" i say, trying to calm her.

Her face visibly relaxes. She looks to her kids and nod once. They shift and suddenly. Where two eleven year olds were standing. There is a Pheonix, and a giant leopard. El flys down and sits on Vis back. He growls and tries to flip her over. She just caws and blows some harmless fire in his face.

"Hey you two" calls Aelia. "No mucking around. This is a serious meeting" she says.

They instantly calm and Vi sits and El perches on his head. It is so amazing. The twins are so loyal to Aelia in a way i hope she is to them in terasen. They reconise that in this land she is higher ranking. But in their land they will be. They are like a mirror image of our court. They do not pull rank or any of that business unless it is a serous manner. I love that about them.

"Lets go meet the high lords and ladies of pyrithian" says Aelin. Still nervous.

The twins caw and bark. We all winnow to helions manor. We all step in line. Rhys and i at the front. The kids behind with isla helping them. Aelin and her family next. Then Mor and Celeste. And finally Cass and Az. amren stayed at home to honnor the deal we made. There will always be one of us in Velaris. To protect it.

We walk in and everyone is there. Except Tamlin. Eris was welcomed into the high lords group when he took over. Everyone prefers him to Baron. Mor now hold no grudges. But that doesnt mean they are besties. When we walk in everyone faces us. They see our family and do what they normally do. But when they see aelin, Vi and El they freeze. The three of them put a damper on their power today. But it was hardest for El. her power is so strong and she is so young that it is hard for her to control it all the time. We all take our seats. Rhys and i at the front with our children between us. Aelin behind with Vi sitting next to her and El on the back of her chair. The rest spread out next to aelin.

"And who may i ask are these wonders?" asks Hellion kindly.

"everyone meet aelin" i introduce "she is the newest member of our court. She shares the second in command with amren. And these" i gesture to Vi and El "are her children. Elentiya nd Graviel"

Shift back into your fae form. Its ok now. I whisper into El and Vi's mind.

They look to eachother then aelia. She nods once and they shift. They take a seat next to their mother and we talk.

"So were are they from?"

"She is a Queen?"

"Wait amren is a god"

"Now did they get here"

"Why cant they get bacl"
"What magic do they have"

There are so many questions. We answer them as best as we can. In the end i just go into their minds and shows them. Leaving out some of the more traumatic parts obviously. When we finnish helion stands.

"Hello aelin. My name is helion" he offers his hand and i accept.

"Hello i am Aelin ashvyer whitheor g-" she gets interrupted

We look over to see a large blond male walk in. i cant see his face. He takes a step forward. Tamlin. In a flash aelin has him tackled to the floor. Knives at his throught.

"Darwin" she growls.
