Chapter 8

It was the first time you've seen you're foster brother in formal clothes. You usually see him in his hero costume and in ordinary clothes but this right here seems different.

You eyed him from head to foot and what you're seeing just mesmerized you. 

Wait?

Why are you mesmerized?

You see him in civilian clothes. So, why would this be any different?

But you were. And what's more his look made you ... nervous?

When your eyes met, you quickly averted your gaze, turning away to hide the pink that started to show on your face. But it didn't escape his sharp eyes.

'What the hell is going on?! Why did I just gawk at him?! And what the f*** am I nervous for?!' 

Keigo didn't seemed bothered by that. But he too was mesmerized by how you looked tonight.

'Wow!' 

He thought. 

'I never knew my Baby Bird could look so beautiful?'

He was surprised at this thought. Well, you were always his beautiful little sister but somehow using that adjective to describe how you looked tonight had a different tone.

And 'baby bird' was always the term of endearment he used to call you since you were a baby. So, why is it different tonight?

Maybe it was just the alcohol, he thought, maybe it was the crowd, or maybe he just felt proud that his little sister is finally turning into a lady.

Yes. That's it. What else could it be? 

He should be swelling with pride. Yet, try as he might he could not deny the slight thumping in his chest. 

'Woah! What is this?'

Now it was him who turned away to hide his blush with his hand.

'It's just y/n you bird brain! What are you getting flustered about?'

'Yeah, it's just y/n. Your just surprised to see how fine of a young lady she turned out to be, that's all. So calm your t*ts!'

His nerves started to calm down. Why the heck would he be nervous? It was just you and no one else.

'But then, why would you ... ? '

Shaking away anymore intrusive thoughts, now calmed down, he turned to your group again.

Keigo:

"I'm glad you guys arrived safely and I'm glad you came too, Todoroki-chan." he smiled at the boys.

Todoroki:

"Thank you for having us. Y/N was nice enough to give me a ride here. Although she did complain about feeling sick earlier when we arrived." he looked at you with concern.

Keigo:

"Y/N, are feeling alright? I can call dad and have you taken home so you can rest." he looked at you with concern.

Y/N:

"I'm fine, Onii-chan. It was just the paparazzi's outside. You know how I hate crowds." you said finally calming your heart beat and giving him a small smile.

Keigo:

"Okay. But if you need anything you come find me, okay?" your foster brother said.
