Bastion Misawa x Reader

Chapter 11

Here is another chapter! I actually wrote this a while back so I'm hoping my writing quality is still okay. Enjoy everyone 

All you could see was the sea of amber. The entire left side of the Ra Yellow girls' dorm lay in ashes as you felt helpless. You ignore your invading thoughts and ignore Jaden's protests for you to stay back. You decide to run into the fiery depths and see if anyone was still inside the dorms. You then realize that it was a trap...however you were too late. You coughed and continued your search. You suddenly felt your world fade in front of you as you felt yourself fall within the smoky interior.

The moment you gained consciousness, you had a cold cloth on your forehead. You remove the cloth and meet the gaze of Bastion's sleeping body beside you. "Aijin! Y-Yokatta! You're alright..." The sun spirit was visibly relieved. You give her an apologetic look and she waves you off. You whisper, "How long was I unconscious for?" Amaterasu replies, "It's been three days, Aijin. You were lucky that Bastion found you before you were consumed by the flames. You were severely burned and inhaled a large amount of smoke." You were startled when Bastion had awakened. He looked like he was about to burst into tears. He hugs you tightly and says, "Thank Ra!" You mumble, "Bastion, you're hurting me." He quickly pulls back and mutters a quick "Sorry." You ask, "What happened?" Bastion explains softly, "Well...let's see. You were basically in the sea of fire when I found you. You should've seen how worried Jesse was." You reply, "All I remember is that I was searching to see if there was anyone inside and then everything went dark." The one you wondered was: how did you suddenly collapse?

Moments later, you leave the infirmary only to realize that you couldn't return to your dorm. "Aijin, what must we do now?" You gaze at Fuijin and sigh, "Wakarimasen...I don't even think the other dorms will house the girls that have been displaced by the fire." "Y/N!" You see Jesse huff tiredly, "Thank Ra you're okay!! I thought something had happened to you." You let out a pained sound, "I'm fine, Jesse. I just have a lot of burns on my body plus now I have to find another place to stay since my dorm is kind of toast at the moment." Jesse asked, "Your dorm burned down?" You nod, "Well of course it did! Half my room is burnt! Plus...only a few things were salvaged." Jesse proposed, "Why don't you stay with me?" You deadpan, "Absolutely not! I'd rather not stay in a smelly male dorm." Jesse refutes, "My room is not smelly!" You roll your eyes, "Right..."

Alexis Rhodes notices someone standing by the docks. Her eyes widened when she saw the female student's appearance. She decides to say something.

You had decided to clear your mind and gaze at the ocean. "You okay? You seem down." You met the eyes of your classmate, Alexis Rhodes. You cross your arms and sigh, "It's nothing really. I just needed to clear my head." She notices the bandages covering your body and says, "Look, if you need a place to crash you can stay with me until your dorm gets rebuilt." You were about to reject when Fuijin said, "Aijin...you should accept. There isn't anyone else you can ask. Plus, you already rejected your Nii-san's offer. It wouldn't hurt for you to socialize with other girls of your age." You let out a sharp sigh, "If it's no trouble for you Alexis-san then I'll humbly accept your offer."

About an hour later, you stood in Alexis' dorm. You saw an extra bed and notice that your belongings were already situated in the area. Alexis remarks, "Jesse came by earlier and dropped off your things." She adds quietly, "He was worried about you. You're lucky you've got a nice brother." You scoff, "Nice? He's a literal pain in my behind. He can be a total ditz..plus he's a really bad cook." Alexis laughs, "Sheesh.."

Later that night, Alexis was fast asleep. You stare at the ceiling, feeling restless in the night atmosphere. You turn on your lamp and check if Alexis was asleep. You quietly exhale and silently throw a dart at the target above your desk. "Y/N?" You turn around as Alexis sits up, "Can't sleep?" You shrug, "I guess not. My brain is still in a state of shock from what happened earlier." You add, "I guess I'm used to the feeling of not having a forever home." You get up and continue, "You should go back to sleep. We don't have classes for the rest of the week. You shouldn't worry about me." Before Alexis could interject, you leave the room. Alexis mumbles, "Talk about random."
