Hello everyone. First off, I'd like to apologize for my absence on here. I have been taking time off from here just to deal with some health related business. Because of my absence, you probably noticed that I haven't updated. Plus I now work full time so I don't get a chance to really come onto Wattpad and update you all on what is going on. Thank you to those angels who have been messaging me just to check up on me.
For now, I am still trying my best to try and get back into writing. I don't want to pressure myself and jump in quickly but I know it's going to take me some time to be mentally okay again.
Rambles aside, updates for this book are going to be slowish. I'm planning on writing all the chapters first before I post them on here.
Enjoy the new chapter! Please leave some feedback on what you think (note: no requests are being taken for anything as of now)
Bastion found himself inside a hazy surrounding. He saw you and wanted to run closer to you. With every step he took, you grew further away from him. He suddenly awoke, only to realize he had fallen out of his bed.
The chill in the air had never bothered you. It was the sudden realization that Yuko would keep trying to get close with you that truly bothered you. In a sense, you wanted nothing more than to calmly walk around campus without someone calling out to you. Although, you just ignored the feeling and just assumed it was just for show.
A week had passed since the first encounter with the strange creatures. You fear that it has conflicted over the nature of their appearance. You honestly began to wonder if this ordeal was just some cruel joke. However, you slowly began to accept the fact that Duel Academy was in danger after all. It was like a sudden sense of realization you hadn't felt in a very long time. It was strange since you had never felt such emotion before.
That same day, you had decided to stay in your dorm and look into the strange disappearances that occurred when the tengu first appeared. You rub your temples as you sift from one document to another. It was no use. You couldn't find any solid evidence of this incident at all. "Might I suggest something?" You mumble, "Do whatever you want, Tsuku." Tsukuyomi gave you a wary look, "It may be a strange hunch but it might help." He continued his proposal with hesitation, "I have heard rumours that many of the students have vanished from the Ra dorms. Again, this might not be true. It is just a statement I have heard floating around campus for the last few days." You tell yourself it was probably a mere coincidence that many of these disappearances were linked to the strange creatures that had suddenly appeared on campus. You rub your temples and mutter, "Honestly, this is annoying."
Later that day, you saw several girls surrounding the academy entrance. You spoke exasperatedly, "Maji ka yo~" You click your tongue and ignore the glares that come your way as you attempt to enter the academy by force. When you enter, you can hear people whispering to themselves as they gaze upon you. You roll your eyes and make your way to an empty seat by the door. "Is it always like this?" You mutter under your breath, "Unfortunately."
Bastion had been looking for you since he had gotten to the classroom earlier this morning. He sighs to himself, "Why do I even bother with this girl?" He then heard Jesse's voice, "C'mon sis! Can't you just hear me out?"
You had decided to practice some archery after classes had ended. You sense someone's presence and exhale sharply, "Can't you ever enter normally, Jesse?" Jesse said, "C'mon sis! Can't you just hear me out?" You give him a look and deadpan, "I am not acting as your archery puppet, you twit. You can't even hit the target let alone try to teach someone." You add, "If you wanted to teach someone, couldn't you have asked one of the professors?" He whines, "PLEASE!" You were annoyed and replied, "mou ii yo" Jesse sighs, "Sis, you know I can't understand Japanese." You add, "That's enough. If you really needed my help you wouldn't be asking anyone else because they wouldn't know how to help." You hear someone clear their throat. Jesse asked, "Mind if I sit and watch ya?" You reply, "Do whatever you wish." You see Bastion and shake your head. You draw back the bow and release the arrow. Thwack! The arrow lands in the centre of the target and you repeat the action. Bastion questions, "How long has she done archery for?" Jesse replies, "Accordin' to my parents, Y/N has been doing it since she was really small."
