Villain Deku: Ivy

Ivy: Part 2

Todoroki. Todoroki. Todoroki. His scared face echoed in my mind. I had done this. I couldn't control myself this time. Even though his house was crowded with police and superheroes joyfully coming to put me in prison, he was the only person I could see. His eyes were wide, his mouth hanging down, betrayed. It was my fault.

But as I sat there in prison, I recalled our previous conversation. He never wanted to be friends. He wanted to change who I am. Doesn't he realize? Ivy is who I am. Who I will always be. There is no room for change in my numb soul. I thought about Todoroki again, but all I could see was the guy, smiling, thinking he had won. He captured the wild animal and tamed it. But no, he didn't. This wild animal was coming for him. I just had to get out of prison.

The cell was cold and dark- it was probably around 12 at night. My eyes grew heavy, and I started to slump on to the ground. Suddenly, I heard voices.

"Come on, bro, he has to be here somewhere!" It was Paper Doll and Exploder. As they came into view, I winced at their betrayed faces.

"Hi," I whispered, guiltity, "over here." She glared at me.

"You have one minute to explain why I woke up on the ground covered in blood and water with my brother half-dead with the authorities surrounding us." she growled.

"I was kidnapped by that two-faced jerk Todoroki." she looked at me, surprised.

"Oh, are you okay?" she asked while her pointer finger transformed into paper and she unlocked my cell.

"Yes," I lied, "how did you get out?"

"Thanks to the commotion last night," her brother started, "the police never gave us the temporary quirk canceller that they have been using on us, because they were distracted by you. I slipped out of the cell and unlocked it and we have been looking for you." I looked at them, grateful.

"Thank you." I grimaced at the sound of my own voice. I sounded so defeated and tired. I looked down at my hands. It is all Todoroki's fault. I scowled and dusted off my suit and tie.

"Let's go."
