Throughout the next month, All Might, the students of class 2-A, and I gathered professional heroes for the incoming battle. We had a date now. Tomorrow. It was the anniversary of the death of All Might's mentor. She had died fighting All For One. I am still unaware of who is the successor of All For One. I wonder if they know I am the successor of All Might.
The last anyone heard of the villain Ivy was when he managed to steal thousands of dollars from the mayor's bank account. Bakugou rushed into UA saying that Ivy was building an army. I noticed he was acting strangely recently. He missed classes frequently and seemed so angered and defeated all the time.
When Bakugou showed the authorities the spot where he had supposedly found the flyer, it was gone. No one knows the size and power of the army of villains, but street crime has almost completely disappeared. A sure sign that something big was headed our way. I couldn't sleep. I wondered if Ivy was gonna be in that battle tomorrow. I didn't think so...
The sun shone clearly, and the trees cast a shadow over the tents. We, class 2-A, gathered around as a class, laughing and showing off our costumes. I had a half red and half white t-shirt and pants on. I didn't know what to wear. No one mentioned the elephant in the room. Each of us knew that it was fully possible that we could die in the next few hours. All Might stood up on a bench, waving his arms.
"Heroes, lend me your ears!" he said dramatically, "As we prepare for battle, keep in mind that we are doing the right thing by stopping these evil criminals! We are the heroes, and our names will be legendary! They are the villains! And good always wins!"
Everyone laughed and cheered at that, but I just felt sick to my stomach. I didn't know who was the villain and who was the hero. As we hiked up the hill, All Might and I, with hundreds of heroes behind us, my nausea only got worse. Will things really be better if quirks didn't exist? Were we leading these heroes to their deaths for nothing?
