Remus Pov

Thankful that dinner did not go as badly as he had feared it would after Hermione stepped in as always to lower the tense between them.

However, Remus was entirely embarrassed. Fenrir had blurted out to everyone around him of his Pack days. He had only wanted to experiment what it was like in a pack and Fenrir's pack happened to be the first one he had spotted. He had to admit, the pack life wasn't that bad. He was treated well with the exception of having to be growled at whenever he step out of line with Fenrir or the Betas. He even had to admit it was fun hanging out with some of pack members personally. Like the twins, Emma and River. Even though the girls were one year apart, they acted and looked identical. They were kind of like Fred and George in the fact they were pranksters and liked to cause as much mischief as possible. He left after a few years later since he grown tired of living out in the wild with them and he just up and left the camp.

He knew that it was not the proper way of leaving a pack, but he didn't know exactly what it meant to leave the pack any other way.

Remus walked outside the courtyard gazing up at the rising moon that threatened to crawl even higher when a couple of giggles caught his attention. He turned his head and was astounded. The twins, River and Emma, stood right in the doorway of the courtyard with Fred and George, who were laughing at probably the stories of endless pranks each other had done during their lives.

Remus couldn't help but walk over towards them.

"River? Emma?" He called out. The girls turned their heads and, of course it was expected, gaze at him in disgust... except for River, who waved her hand at Remus, only for it to be shoved down by Emma.

"I see this is where you ran off to after you left the pack." Emma growled at him. Emma was a couple of inches taller than River with a set of think curly hair that was brought up into a puffy bun with some of her bangs brushing beside her bright chocolate colored eyes. She had on a pair of black sneakers with a pair of ripped jean and a white blouse that was untucked.

"It's good to see you, Emma. River how have you been?" Remus asked her. River had on her pair of black combat boots with an eggplant-purple velvet skirt on top of a pair of ripped gray tights and a long sleeve loose blue shirt. Her short thick brown hair was brushed well enough that her bangs lightly touched the side of her emerald eyes.

"Boring! You shouldn't have left, Remus! It was hard to pull any good pranks on the rest of the pack without you there. Everyone always knew it was a prank and made sure it didn't happen." River pouted at him. That was another reason he left the pack, he was an easy target for the girls' pranks since he always fell into them so easily.

"I'm sorry River to have ruined your fun." Remus stated to her, "but I see you two are getting along with the Weasleys Twins."

"Oh yes, they are telling us about the genius pranks they pulled on the teachers. I think the best one is them firing fireworks at Umbridge. I wish I could have seen her face!" River claimed while bursting into laughter with the Weasley boys. Emma however kept her sour face on him. Remus cleared his throat.

"Well I hate to break this wonderful union, but the full moon is about to start to rise soon." Remus told them. River and Emma glanced upwards and River gasped.

"Oh so it is! Time does fly when you're having fun." River cheered with a bright smile pressed against her lips.

"You boys better get indoors before we start turning into werewolves. I know I personally wouldn't be able to live with myself if I accidentally hurt two of Hogwarts' best pranksters." Emma claimed to them.

"That's okay, doesn't the potion work to help control one's actions a bit?" Fred asked them. River and Emma started laughing their heads off.

"Oh, the pack doesn't take that forsaken potion. It's hard for us to even afford such a potion and it barely does anything." River suggested to them, "It's actually better that way since we then get used to the pain of the change from human to wolf."

"It so bad for us that I know one person who took that very potion since they were six years old and dropped dead after four years. Who would be that willing to take a potion that slowly kills you off?" Emma asked them.

George and Fred slowly turned their head towards Remus as he lowered not baring to gaze up and have to explain to them why he takes the potion.

Fenrir Pov

Fenrir walked beside Hermione and the fellow kids towards the place where the pack was to get ready for the change from human to wolf. He gazed upward to see the moon was taking its sweet time as if it was silently allowing Fenrir to try to talk with Hermione about what is going to happen.

"So where's Remus? Wouldn't he want to join us in our turning?" Fenrir asked Hermione, though he was sure now that he was here Remus wouldn't want to be anywhere near him. Hermione shrugged her shoulders.

"He always goes off to the Shrinking Shack. He never joins in with us in our turning, which I do not force upon him. As long as I'm around the kids, it's fine." Hermione explained to them.

"I bet they take that awful potion that Remus himself takes." Fenrir mumbled under his breath.

"Actually they don't take the potion. My orders." Hermione shot at him with a firm voice. Fenrir paused before he shot his surprised gaze up at Hermione. He did not know why, but when Hermione uses her firm, clearly in charge voice with him, he felt his blood boil.

"Are you serious? I would have been sure that Remus would try something like force them to take the potion." Fenrir stated to her. Hermione chuckled while she shook her head.

"I did studies and tests on the potion myself. Turns out, it reduces years on one's life depending on age and how much they use of it. Besides it cost too much to make it. By the way, Remus did try to enforce it by making it into a rule." Hermione explained her reasons to Fenrir. Fenrir suddenly felt his body start to shift, which caused him to gaze up to the sky. The moon was almost to the peak of the sky, closing in on the time he would become a wolf.

"Are you sure you want to be out here when we turn? I know you're strong, but I wouldn't want you to get hurt. I assure you I can take care of the kids. No one would test their Alpha." Fenrir gave her. He peered at the corner of his eyes to see Hermione was gazing up at the moon as well. He heard her lightly chuckle while her lips twisted up into a smirk.

"And I assure you, Fenrir. No one will lay a hand on me either." Hermione promised him. Before Fenrir could say another word, he noticed Hermione's eyes changed from her chocolate brown eyes to golden eyes... the very eyes of the wolf.
