Hermione POV

I had woken up a few hours ago to discover that Draco had already gone. He wasn't anywhere in sight. He just...left. I felt hurt, definitely, but I couldn't allow myself to dwell too much on it. It would be silly if I allowed myself to think that he'd actually stay with me. Although I couldn't deny we connected last night. I connected with him in a way I never connected with anyone before and he left without a word. How selfish is that?

I was thankful that my thoughts were soon interrupted by a loud knock on the door. I blissfully made my way towards it, thinking it may be Ginny. The smile was wiped off my face in seconds.

"Granger." Pansy spoke emotionless.

"P-Parkinson... what's wrong with Draco?" I look at him, horrified. His arm hung over Pansy and he had a disturbingly huge smile on his face. What a sleazy ferret.  He certainly didn't wait too long to be back in the arms of Pansy Parkinson. I was about to close the door but Pansy shoved her foot in-front to prevent me from doing so.

"No, wait! I've done something terrible!"

"And you decided to tell me this because?" I ask impatiently. I tore my eyes away from Draco because the anger almost became too much to bear. Pansy had one of her hands squeezed on Draco's shoulder as if she were trying to prevent him from running off somewhere. He definitely didn't look like he wanted to get away from her. He kept a lustful gaze on her face and I could not help but notice his lingering hand.... he wasn't even being discreet about it!

"Pansy my love... why are we with Mud blood?" Draco said in a voice which sounded too high to belong to him. I gritted my teeth in anger. Who the hell did he think he was? It all clicked in place when I looked at Pansy's annoyed expression and Draco's loving smile.

This was too familiar.... I swore I have experienced something like this before.

"You gave him a love potion!" I said. It didn't even shock me to be honest, not when it was Pansy Parkinson's doing. Her lack of response gave me the answer I needed. "What the hell were you thinking?"

"Be more silent, will you?" Pansy rolled her eyes before she took a look at her surroundings. Nobody was here. "I don't feel the need to explain myself. I just need you to take him."

"What?" I exclaim in disbelief. "You poisoned him and you decide to dump him straight away?"

"Keep that voice down." Pansy snarled looking from side to side, again. I could tell she didn't want to get in trouble. But why did she decided to take him to me, a head girl, of all people? She was either too stupid or trying to do something decent.  "And yes. It's a long story."

Draco had a look of terror on his face. And so it begins. "Why do you want me to stay with this filth Pansy? I want to stay with you. We cannot stay apart!"

Pansy weakly smiled at the lovesick Draco. "I just need you to stay in your room while I go and do some things. Alone."

"Hello! I'm standing right here. What is all this about?" I demanded.

Pansy dramatically rolled her eyes. "Wait in your room Draco."

"But my love-"

"Please Draco, for me?" I had to resist the urge to vomit in my mouth when Pansy batted her eyelashes while seductively smiling.

Draco, under the influence, obviously fell for her charm and stubbornly crossed his arms while slowly sulking off to his room. Once his door was closed I turn back to Pansy. I wanted nothing more than to lash out and demand why she did this to Draco. She is as selfish as can be. Surely it isn't that difficult to accept that someone doesn't like you? I also hated that she was treating Draco like he wasn't a human being. What is her game?
