"Try not, do or do not." Yoda
*EDITED*Spencer holds open the door for me at the coffee shop and I walk inside. The sweet smell of coffee quickly rushes to my noes.
"Mmm" I groan, taking in the smell. Spencer laughs, "you like coffee a lot don't you?" I can feel my checks turn a light pink, "that obvious?" I ask. Spencer leans over and whispers in my ear, "it's ok I do to."
I feel chills go through my spine as he does that, his hot breath on my ear. "Come on let's order."
Spencer takes my hand and pulls me over to the line and stands. "Oh sorry," he says, quickly pulling his hand away and starting to blush. "I didn't realize-"
"Its ok," I say cutting him off with a small smile.

After we order and get our drinks we sit at one of the tables in the cafe. "So," Spencer says before quickly taking a sip of his coffee, "why did you want to join the BAU?"
I let out a small laugh, "Honestly I didn't. My friend forced me to come," I say with a shrug, thinking nothing of it. "Wait but weren't you one of the best detectives back in Florida?"
"Yeah but I don't really do well with change, or stress, or anything like that I guess."
Spencer nods and takes a sip of coffee. "What?" I ask.
"Nothing"
"There's obviously something I can tell"
"Well you can be kind of...distant?" Spencer says almost question like.
"Distant how? I haven't been distant."
"Look Becca I don't think I should-" Spencer starts but I interpret him, "You can't just tell me I've been distant and not tell me how"
"Its not that you're trying to be distant, I don't even think you realize you are its just-"
"Just what Spencer?"
He lets out a deep sigh, "You have anxiety right?" I can feel my cheeks turning a soft pink, "How did you-" I start to speak, but I'm interrupted, "On your first day you were kind of quiet and that could've just been the nerves but I noticed that when you shake all of the teams hands you weren't confident, and you wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. You also purposely tried to get away from the group and do things on your own, but at the same time needed someone close to you cause you cant be alone."
My eyes widen, "How did you-?" "I'm a profiler, remember?" I stare down at the ground as my cheeks go from pink to red, no one has ever been able to figure me out that fast before. "But don't worry, I wont tell the others" Spencer says. I feel a slight smile form on my face. "Come on I'll drive you home.
~
The car ride was awkwardly silent, but when we arrived to my house Spencer walked me to the door. "Thank you, for the coffee." I manage to mumble, not looking at him. 'Huh maybe he was right about the whole eye contact thing.'"No problem, I had fun."
I smile and start to open the door, "Hey Becca?" I turn and look at him, "Yeah?" He opens his mouth like he is about to speak, then closes it again like he is trying to find the right words to say, "If any thing is ever wrong call me ok? Don't do anything you may regret later."
I smile, "Thank you," I whisper. "Well see you tomorrow, goodbye Rebecca" Spencer says before walking back to his car. I watch him as he drives off, before going inside.
