Everything went by as normal as it got at a school of witchcraft and wizardry. Nobody was surprised when Viktor Krum was chosen as Durmstrang champion. Fleur Delacour, the most beautiful girl any of us would ever set sight on, was the champion for Beauxbatons. And to my delight, my acquaintance, Cedric Diggory, had been picked as the Hogwarts champion. We all thought that everything had been wrapped up from there, but suddenly Harry's name had been chosen from the Goblet as well. Nobody knew how or why this happened, Harry just seemed to get into trouble a lot. I was sure that he didn't put his name in on purpose, he looked absolutely petrified when he heard his name get called. However, other students didn't have the same reaction.
"No fair!" I heard Fred complain when Harry got chosen.
"I know right!" I responded, "I wish that Goblet would've picked you, that way you'd be severely injured in the first task and then sent to Saint Mungos for the rest of the year!"
"Shove off!"
I noticed that Ron had become quite upset with Harry himself, as the two of them were rarely around each other, and whenever they did bump paths they'd give each other menacing glares.
With the trio beginning to break up, and the Weasley twins having to obey my every command- things were starting to go my way at Hogwarts.
Having their photos as blackmail was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I'd be able to say whatever rude insult to them and they'd have no choice but to comply. It was great.
On one evening, I was sitting in the common room by the fire when I saw Fred walk in, and took it as the perfect opportunity to torment him.
"Fred, darling," I said sarcastically, "Pass me that book, would you?"
The book, in question, had only been a few feet away from me, and I was perfectly capable of reaching it myself. However, seeing Fred have to reluctantly do it was much more entertaining.
"I'm starting to think I'd rather be humiliated then have to be your personal servant." He growled.
"Go ahead then," I said, "Say the word and you'll be free at last."
He hesitated before giving in and picking up the book, tossing it into my lap.
"Care to know what I'm reading?" I asked him.
"I don't give a flying fuck." He shot back.
"Fine." I said before flipping through the pages.
He looked at me for quite some time before plopping himself next to me, "Whatever. You've made me curious now. Tell me."
I could have resisted and given him another sarcastic retort, but I didn't have the energy. Instead, I pointed the cover at his face.
"Romeo and Juliet?" He asked, "Is that a muggle story."
I nodded, "It's probably their favorite romantic story. There's not a person in the muggle world who hasn't at least heard of it."
"What's it about?"
"Two star-crossed lovers. They come from rivaling worlds, but can't help but have these intense feelings for each other. It's a whole conflict between whether or not they should stay loyal to their families, or allow themselves to be together."
"Sounds boring," He rubbed his chin, "Have you already read it?"
"Loads of times."
"Does it have a happy ending?"
