"You did it!  Oh thank goodness you did it!"  George exclaimed, giving me a tight hug.

I backed away, "I'm sorry, what did I do?"

"You made up with Fred, of course."

"Oh, right.  Yeah- I did do that."

He grinned, "Well, I'm glad the two of you aren't fighting anymore.  He's been really happy since last night."

"He has?"

"Yeah, but he won't tell me why.  Says it's got something to do with the moon."

I blushed, "That's peculiar."

"I don't care, really.  Having him mad for so long was driving me insane.  This was a much needed break from angry-Fred."

"You didn't even get the worst of it!"  I argued.

He looked at me intensely, "Believe it or not, I did.  You have no bloody idea how much he loves to rant to me about anything and everything.  The weather's a bit off and he's giving me a speech about it."

"That sounds like Fred."  I laughed.

We looked behind us to see Ron running towards the two of us.

"There you are!"  He said, out of breath.  "Next time I lose you I think I'll just look for one of my brothers, you seem to always be around them."

"Because she likes us better, obviously."  George boasted.

I rolled my eyes, "Don't listen to him.  It's your brothers that are obsessed with me."

"Yeah well, if they ever try and make a move on you, you let me know.  I'll set them straight."

George and I looked at each other, wide-eyed, and then back at Ron before nodding together.

"What?  What was that face the two of you made?"

"Nothing."  We said in sync.

"Got to go."  George turned around and speeds walked away.

"Me too," I said, "I've got a thing to do."

"A thing?"

Dean, who overheard us, replied, "I dunno mate, she's always got a 'thing' doesn't she?"

Ron raised a brow, but I simply waved to him goodbye.

I made a note to myself right then and there:

No more holding hands with Fred.  No more falling asleep with Fred.  No more telling Fred that he reminds me of the moon or whatever bullshit like that.

Of course he had been lying when he told me his brother wouldn't mind any of that.  Who wouldn't mind?

I'd have to be sure to set clear boundaries with him.  Sure, I was going to break up with Ron, but at the moment the two of us were still in a relationship.  I may be a rubbish girlfriend, but I knew where I drew the line.  I was not a cheater.  As soon as Ron and I broke up I could do whatever hand-holding or I wanted to with Fred.

If we'd be able to.

I couldn't forget the fact that as soon as my relationship with Ron ended, so did any chance of one with Fred.  It wasn't only boy-code, but sibling-code too.  No dating your brother's ex!

As if Fred would date me anyway.

I spotted him during study hall and plopped myself next to him.

"Come to pester me some more?"

I wasn't going to waste any time making small-talk with Fred.  I knew I had to get straight to the point.
