Day 8:

Nekoette's PoV:

"Hey, wake up sis," Dimitri says. He grabs my shoulder and lightly shakes it. I slowly open my eyes.

"Not now time to sleep," I mumble, turning over and closing my eyes.

"Come on Nekoette you do this every morning," Dimitri groans, shaking me more.

"Meif'was aren't morning people," I say as if it was the perfect excuse. Dimitri pauses before he takes off my blanket. I ignore him he won't stop me from enjoying my bed for a few more hours. I feel him suddenly feel his fingers wrap around my tail. My head shoots of my pillow.

"Don't you dare," I shout. Dimitri ignores me and pulls on my tail. It stings so much. I shriek in pain and tackle my older brother.

Dimitri snickers as I try to pin him down. My face goes red while he tries to push me off him. He manages to untangle himself from me and runs out of our room. I initially got up and ran after him.

I catch up to him, in the kitchen. I grab him by the wast and try to push him off his feet. He maintains his balance while holding me back. I give up trying to pin him down after a few minutes. Dimitri smirks at me triumphantly. I suddenly realize a cinnamon smell in the air. I glance around the kitchen and see our dad about to leave for his guard duties.

"Bye, Dante-Kun," Mom says giving him a peck on the lips. Me and Dimitri both squirm uncomfortably. I don't mind seeing my parents getting all lovey-dovey, but ever since Dimitri showed up it feels like there's no love in it. Almost like they're doing it for show.

"Bye, sweetie," Dad says. Dad walked out of the front door.

Dimitri waits a few moments before saying what was on his mind, "Gross."

Mom looks at the two of us surprised by our sudden appearance. She quickly smiles and giggles a little, "Good morning. Kawaii~Chan's glad to see that Nekoette-tan is finally waking up early."

I scowl, "Nekoette~Tan would've slept in but Dimitri-Kun pulled my tail!"

"It's your fault for not listening to me the first time," Dimitri shouts.

"Careful Dimitri-Kun a Meif'wa's ears and tail are very sensitive," Mom says.

"Fine," Dimitri scowls, I smirk in triumph. Mom turns around and grabs some freshly made cinnamon rolls giving each of us one. Dimitri and I smile as we sit down at our table and start eating.

"This is amazing thank you Kawaii~Chan," Dimitri says with a smile on his face. Mom nods in thanks as she sits down with us.

"What are you two planning on doing today?" Mom asks.

"Alexis said she is going to help us train this morning," Dimitri replies. The thought of Alexis makes me frown.

"Alexis-Chan is acting strange though," I say. Mom looks at me questioningly; Dimitri nods in confirmation.

"Yeah she's been acting weird since last week," Dimitri agrees. "Like she's distracted or something."

Mom looks up her eyes full of understanding and compassion. "Alexis-Chan is scared."

"What could scare Alexis-Chan?" I ask. "She's so strong nothing can scare her... right?"

"Kawaii~Chan thinks that Alexis-Chan is scared of Zane-Kun," Mom replies. I look down, and Dimitri scowls. Mom and Dad have told me stories about Zane and how he is pure evil. I'm guessing Nichole has told Dimitri too.

"I don't see why they don't just kill Zane already," Dimitri mutters. Mom and I look at him in shock.

"Dimitri-Kun," I scold. He looks at me questioningly while Mom squirms in her chair.

"What?" he says defensively. "Our moms have told us about Zane. He tried to kill everyone here."

I look down uncomfortably before speaking up, "But Aphmau Senpai said that this wasn't the same Zane."

"You honestly believe that, sis?" Dimitri scoffs. I feel my face flush from embarrassment. Mom's probably anger at me for defending Zane; everybody hates Zane.

"Zane-Kun is telling the truth," Mom says. I look up surprised by her words, but I'm more surprised by the way she spoke. Her voice is suddenly soft and smooth; a complete contrast to her usual high pitched, super kawaii voice.

Dimitri stares at Mom for a few minutes; opening and closing his mouth a few times before finally speaking, "What do you mean of course Zane is lying. Don't you remember what he did?"

Mom nods before responding, "Kawaii~Chan remembers. But Kawaii~Chan met Zane-Kun yesterday. Kawaii~Chan never actually met the Zane-Kun from our world, but there's no way that this Zane-Kun would ever do any of the stuff the other one did."

"That was a mouthful," Dimitri remarks. I nudge him in the shoulder.

"How do you know that Mama?" I ask.

"Zane-Kun knows something about Kawaii~Chan that she swore to never tell anyone," Mom replies. A sad look appears on her face for a second before she being replaced with a carefree smile.

"Necoette~Tan and Dimitri-Kun should hurry. You shouldn't keep Alexis-Chan waiting," Mom says, her voice returning to normal.

We both realize we're late for training. We quickly finish our cinnamon rolls and run out of the door. Dimitri grabs Dad's oud double swords while I pick up my bow and quiver. I want to think more about what Mom said but I don't have time right now.

Nana's Pov:

I stare at the front door where Dimitri and Necoette were standing a moment ago. I wait for a few minutes before collapsing onto the table and letting out a long groan.

"What is wrong with you, Kawaii~Chan?" I mutter to myself. My interaction with Zane plays through my head over and over again. I swore I would never, under no circumstances, tell anyone my real name. What in the name of Irene did he do to convince my counterpart to tell him our name?

I lot ou a sigh as his words echo in my head, "Kawaii~Chan is a close friend of mine. Nana is the girl I fell in love with."

I feel my face warm up just thinking about his words. I slap myself trying to calm myself down, "Calm down Nana. You're a married woman. Why the hell are you blushing like a young girl at another man?"

I realize I called myself Nana; I slap myself again. I only had one interaction with Zane and I've almost completely dropped my act twice.

I let out a long sigh. I should stop interacting with Zane before someone realizes Kawaii~Chan is a fraud. But I'm curious to know why my counterpart told Zane my secret. I know I should just leave him alone, but I need to keep an eye on him.

Yay, I finished another chapter and I actually accomplished it within my deadline. *cough* barley *chough.* Anyway even though I set a deadline for myself I temporarily forgot about it. And I being the absolute genius that I am agreed to do a 30-day art challenge with my sister. So you can tell how it felt when I remembered that I said that I'll try to get this out by November.

But that is also the reason that you might not see new chapters for a little while. I'm doing a 30-day art challenge because I'm trying to fight my overwhelming problem with procrastination. But I'm also working on the next part that will take place on Mystreet. So please stick with me until then.

TL;DR - New chapters might take a while for reasons in my life.

Remember: Constructive criticism is very appreciated.
