It's been about a month since that strange day. The day where you got into an argument for the first time ever with your closest friend, met new friends, got 'kidnapped'. It feels weird to have all those topics in the same day and sometimes it even makes you chuckle.
Even later that night, something very unexpected happened.
flashback
"San?!" You gasped sharply, looking at the figure standing before you. The only thing that showed his figure and features was the light emitting from the vending machine. You adjusted your eyes to the dim lighting and darkness to see him better.
"Surprise! Did I scare you?" He smiled whilst doing suttle jazz hands. You let out a sigh of relief that it wasn't Chan.
"Yes, very much." you playfully punched his arm gently to which he sarcastically groaned.
"What're you doing here though?" You asked, tilting your head slightly.
"Oh, the guys invited me to chill in their dorm for a bit before Yeosang and I went back home." He stated, making the confusion on your face grow.
"They don't live in this building... They're more down the hill." You told him causing him to raise a brow then pull out his phone and scratch his head. "Did you get lost?"
"No, this is the exact building and the numbers match perfectly." He claimed, scrolling through his phone. "They said their dorm was 1117." (oh yes i did)
1117, that's your dorm number.
He showed you his phone. You squinted at the bright screen to see Seonghwa's contact information and the exact address San said all from him.
"Huh-?" You grumbled and facepalmed at Seonghwa's clear attempt to get you two to see eachother again. "I'll just show you their information. You can take a picture of it." You grin and turn on your phone going into your notes app.
"Or, we could exchange numbers?" He asked, his voice getting more silent towards the end. You snapped your head up towards him and nodded.
Why didn't that thought cross your mind? After you exchanged numbers, you sent him all the correct information.
"Thanks for your help." He sighed and slipped his phone inside his pocket. You nodded and turned around.
"Thank you too!" You said, grabbing the can and lifting it up to the side of your face. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
"It's no problem." He shrugged slightly and gave a closed-mouthed smile again. "I should go. Have a goodnight." He said and turned around getting ready to walk. You sighed and soon turned towards the stairs and started to make your way over.
"Oh wait!" He said getting your attention making you turn back. The male jogged over to you slightly. "I probably won't see you until next month if I end up getting to attend here. Let's keep in touch." San said, again making the smile that made his eyes disappear.
"Yeah. Let's." You giggled. "But until then…" You paused and raised your left fist.
"Goodluck." You finished, awaiting a bump from him on your knuckles.
He chuckled and pressed his left fist against yours.
"I'll do my best."
end of flashback
Since that day, nothing else has really drastically happened. Wooyoung went back to his usual self without any mention of your new acquaintances from him or your friends. Chan has still been bugging you still from time to time but hasn't pulled another stunt like he did that day. Everything was pretty much in its normal state.
You walked into the lecture room for dance theory quietly while flipping through your planner.
Even though your major wasn't dance, you still took the elective because of your friends that dance. Since your school was mainly focused on arts, they offered it as an elective to everyone and mandatory for dance majors. It stood out to you more than the other electives so you decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, everyone in your friend group already took it in their first years while you were too distracted with your own major. But you did manage to make friends and get to know your peers quite well so you weren't lonely at all.
As you walked up to your seat, you responded to the greetings with a polite smile and wave. Once you got to your seat, you sat down and checked your phone.
Besides the daily text from Chan, your notifications were empty.
You sighed and placed your phone at the edge of your desk and proceeded to look and fill out your planner.
The teacher, Mr. Jung, walked in a few minutes later and greeted everyone.
"Alright, let's start off with attendance…" He began as your eyes drifted to the window next to you. The scenery was breathtaking as the city was lively with color splashes of oranges and reds due to the season. Those leaves danced in the wind and some fell here and there. Your mind started to drift to other places. Wondering what your friends were doing, how San's and Yeosang's applications were going, if there would be anymore blackbean noodles in the cafeteria...
"Oh, you're here." Mr. Jung said which snapped you back to the present. You looked to the door that abruptly opened and interrupted the professor and your thoughts. Your eyes widened at the person who stepped in. A familiar black haired male.
San.
"Sorry, I accidentally slept in and got lost." He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck. The professor chuckled and continued.
"Not a problem, I understand." He smiled and motioned San to come to his side. "Everyone, this is Choi San. He transferred here from a dance academy. Please treat him respectfully and help him out." He patted San's back gently and San quickly bowed to the whole class.
"Go ahead and pick a seat. Anywhere is fine." Mr. Jung spoke and motioned his hand towards the rest of the class.
You could already see the girls trying to get his attention. But he just smiled at them and kept moving until he got to your row.
And sat down right next to you.
The glares from some of the girls penetrated straight through you. You laughed awkwardly at them.
"Hello." He whispered to you, putting his backpack down.
"Long time no see." You whispered back which made him laugh lightly and nod his head.
"Alright let's continue." Mr. Jung spoke up once again, breaking you two away from having a full conversation.
"Alright, almost everyone." He sighed and switched papers. "Today we'll be going over the lessons we learned from Monday in the studio. Let's go ahead and get over there."
On his cue, the class began gathering their things and went towards the door. Small chatter filled the room and you could hear some girls talk about San.
"How did things go?" You started, putting your bag over your shoulder.
"Pretty good. I think I got accepted." He joked which made you giggle lightly.
"Dance major?" You asked in which he nodded.
"Ahh I'm still the odd one out." You pouted playfully as you made your way out of the door.
"Really?" He questioned catching up to you. "What's yours?"
"Writing!" You beamed, confident that you got in and are able to keep up with the work.
Even though your sleep and meals were sacrificed greatly in the process but whatever.
His eyes widened at your response. "Writing? These days?" San questioned jokingly which resulted in you slapping his arm.
"Yeah and what? Gonna call me a grandma?" You poked your tongue out and laughed at his pained expression.
"Hey if you're from a dance academy, why'd you choose to switch here?" You asked, tilting your head to the side slightly.
"I just wanted a change. I realized that I want to experience university life as well." He explained to you. "I seen my friends have so much fun and I felt like I was missing out on it. I'm just lucky that I found somewhere that offers the path I want to take. So win-win?"
"I see." You placed your hand on his shoulder, and looked at him in the eyes. "When you're with me, I'll make sure there's never a dull moment. So be prepared to live your University life to the fullest."
San pursed his lips and nodded quickly. Then turned his attention to the flowers and scenery all in front of the dance studios. "Oh yeah. You were right it is really pretty around here." He coughed awkwardly and continued to look the other direction. A slight pink tint crept to his ears. "We came at night so I couldn't really see it all too well."
You had a confused expression, wondering why he changed all of a sudden. "Glad you like it." You mentioned and removed your hand from his shoulder.
You two walked into the building silently. After that awkward conflict, the atmosphere remained pretty calm and comfortable all the way until the professor began once again.
"Alright go ahead and get changed. San stay out here." He said and watched carefully to make sure everyone went to their respective locker rooms.
"See you soon, San!" You waved and walked over to the girl's door.,,
