Y/N POV:
"What group would like to go first." Mr. Jung asked the class to which he got crickets. Your partner, Kai, kept studying the sheet as if he hadn't gone over it thousands of times. You averted your attention to the hem of your, actually Yunho's, shirt and started fidgeting with it. You didn't want Mr. Jung to call on you first because well, you weren't the most confident in your dance. And as much as you tried to hide it, you were also really shy to perform in front of San.
He was from a dance academy after all. That was the only reason.
Right?
"Come on you lazy bums. Kai and Y/N will start it off for you guys then." He said which made you both jump. Kai and yourself exchanged glances and hesitantly began to stand up.
It wasn't too long until you both managed to waddle to the middle awkwardly. When you looked up you seen San giving a smile and thumbs up which in some way actually soothed your nerves. You gave a small little grin back and returned your attention back to the floor.
"Alright let's start with.." Mr Jung began and soon started to name the moves out loud. You and Kai moved along with the moves he had voiced with as much grace and persistence as you could. Though, your lack of flexibility got the best of you on some parts earning quiet yet obvious chuckles from some of the students.
After the final partner move, the professor then thanked you both and sent you back to your original spots. You bowed and speedily walked back gently high fiving each other on the way back.
"You did well." He quietly complimented as you two sat down on the floor.
"Me? If it weren't for you I'd look like even more of a mess." You whispered which earned a chuckle from the male. "I was trying to not faceplant like last week but if you insist." That last comment made him almost spit out his water which caused him to have to slightly apologize to the class for being loud. You laughed lightly at him and reverted your attention to the other students who were performing.
"Wow, they're good. Well no duh Y/N, they're in the dance program." You thought as your eyes followed their precise moves.
Your passion and heart has always been with writing while most of your friends have been either dancing and even singing. So as a result, you've grown used to watching them practice and work hard to perfect dances but you still heavily admire the art.
During the performances, you glanced over at San who was staring intently at each pair studying them. It amazed you how much he reminded you of Wooyoung. That thought just made you even more intrigued about what had happened between them.
"Alright that's that." Mr. Jung announced and cleared his throat. "I definitely see improvement at least no one fell this time." He said shooting a look to you making it obvious who he was talking about. You instantly covered your face in embarrassment as light laughter filled the room.
"All jokes aside, good job on practicing these moves. Contemporary dance is difficult and takes skill so I am very pleased with you all. Use the rest of this hour to continue practicing and such." He said and clapped which signaled everyone to clap and thank him.
"That's pretty embarrassing." You pouted to Kai and stood up.
"Don't beat yourself up about it." He patted your shoulder softly. "At least you didn't fall this time."
You frowned and turned to him. "Gee thanks buddy."
He tried to hide a giggle as you shrugged his hand off of you. "I'm going to go check in with my friend and I'll be back."
You didn't let him respond as you left quickly. Your legs took big strides across the room to San who was still looking over the paper.
"How'd I do?" You jokingly asked and confidently rested your hands on your hips before him. His head shot up and eyes became bright as he gasped.
"You did amazing!" He gawked. Your expression changed a little to an awkward smile.
"It was just a joke-" "No seriously! I was watching everyone else's routine and you really did the best!" San cut you off and started to ramble about how you did the best to him.
"San you really don't have to lie like this just because we're friends..." You twiddled with your thumbs.
"Y/N look at me." He demanded and placed both of his hands on your shoulders. "Do you think I'm lying?"
You looked into San's eyes and tried to determine for yourself if he was. It had crossed your mind that there wasn't even a trace of any sort of lies in his voice. As you stared into his eyes trying to be serious like him, you couldn't help but focus only on how close he was to you. As a result, your face was becoming hotter than the meat the boys had set on fire the other night.
"Mhm! Only the truth!" You nodded your head fast in an attempt to hide your crimson face.
San sighed and released his grip on your shoulders. "I really think you have potential."
"Right? That's exactly what I said." Someone chimed in from the side which made you and San look over.
"I told her to look into this more as an escape from her major. She's like a flower that hasn't bloomed and I can tell with a little water, she'll eventually bloom." The owner of the voice added and sighed. It turned out to be Mr. Jung as he presented himself in front of you guys. "The bud of the flower."
"Wow you're extremely good at similes, sir." San complimented which made Mr. Jung chuckle.
"It's what I get for talking with her so much during classes. I know the major is hard so I-" Mr. Jung and San exchanged a conversation whilst you stood there, dumbfounded. All you could do was watch Mr. Jung spill all of your information to San right before you with a blank expression.
"Stop eavesdropping and let's go practice." Someone came from behind you and mumbled in your ear. They soon grabbed your arm drug you away from the scene.
"Kai you could've just told me." You shot at him quietly which made him roll his eyes.
"Whatever you stalker."
You both worked on the moves you had the most trouble with together which turned out to be fun. You eventually fell into small talk with your classmates and forgot all about what happened. Until a song began playing.
You averted your attention to the middle of the room to see San beginning to move his arms. Then his head. And slowly, his whole body fell into a smooth groove under his command.
You watched as he hit every single move with precision and force yet it was so free and flowy like. His body matched any beat that came on through the song. His facial expressions were spot on which added onto his overwhelmingly amazing aura he gave off. Even though you were used to seeing people dance, you had felt like it was the first time you had ever seen someone dance. Like a trance.
Once the music had stopped, the only thing that could be heard was his hard breaths. His body came to a slow halt and his chest rose up and down with his face twisted in a stiff expression.
"Thank you, Mr. Choi." The professor said with wide eyes. The entire class was clapping and even cheering him on.
You on the other hand, were still in shock.
"You should close your mouth." Kai had said fron next to you and placed his fingers under your chin. Once he harshly pressed your mouth closed, you smacked his arm.
"I'm done practicing with you. Go play somewhere else." You stuck your tongue out and shooed him off. He luckily took your word and walked off while rolling his eyes.
"How was that?" Someone approached you which made you jump again.
"San that was amazing! How'd you get so good?" You asked the male and handed him your extra unused towel.
"I don't think that it was the best.." He began and pressed the towel on his forehead. You dramatically gasped and put your fists on your hips.
"Excuse me? You're scolding me for the same thing. Why is it any different from you." You teased yet seriously asked. San looked up and gave his signature eye disappearing smile.
"I suppose you have a point." He sighed and threw the towel around his neck. "I have to talk to you after class though so..." San paused and looked at you.
"Would you like to come with me to my dorm?"Hi I'm alive :D
