Her Secret

Chapter 13

Jayden's Pov

     I looked in the mirror to make sure my costume looked right. For tonight, I chose to wear my hair in two pigtails with my bangs and a few flyaways to frame my face. I straightened my collar, making sure the first button was unbuttoned so I wouldn't feel choked and fixed the white cuffs that stuck out under the sweater. Once I was satisfied, I shifted my eyes and gently prodded my gums with my teeth until my fangs made their appearance. I looked at myself, making sure I didn't look too realistic. Once I was satisfied, I made my way out of my room. I couldn't get myself to go into the large room full of people yet, so I made my way to Blue's room, hoping that she was still in there. The party had officially started ten minutes ago but nobody has arrived yet. I gently knocked on her door and waited for her to let me in. 

     "Awe Fluffy, you look cute or whateva," Blue gushed as she surveyed my costume. "Give me a full 360," I did a little spin for her. "Can we get some commotion for the back of the dress please," She cheered. 

     "You goofy Smallz," I laughed. "Now let me in,"

     "Well dang you ain't have to say it like that," She retorted while fully opening the door to allow me in. I walked over and plopped on her bed while she finished situating herself. 

     "Awe Blue you make such a cute Penny Proud!" I cooed, even though I didn't know who Penny Proud is. 

       "Why thank you Fluffy!" she answered. "Even though I doubt you know who she is, let alone what she looks like," She mumbled under her breath. 

     "I think you forgot I have excellent hearing Smallz so you ain't have to call me out like that,"

     "I was just stating facts. Besides, we can fit in an episode before we have to go to the party anyway. Nobody is even here yet,"

     "You right, now put it on tv before I embarrass myself any more than I already have,"

     She ran over to the bed and climbed in. She grabbed her remote and quickly opened the Disney+ application. After a few seconds, the catchy theme song was playing through the room. 

     "Did you know that Mommy, TT Kelly, TT Chelle, and TT Solo made this song?" 

     "No I didn't Smallz, they did a good job though,"

     "As they should," 

     We watched a couple of episodes before the people started coming in. To say I was nervous was an understatement, I was in distress. I'm about to be in a room full of people that I don't know on a blood moon. I was genuinely nervous. 

     "Calm down Fluff you'll be fine,"

     "But what if I'm not?"

     "I'll be by your side for the whole night okay? You're going to be fine," She reassured. I hesitantly nodded my head, still unsure. "Oh, and can I be myself until we go to the party?"

     "Sure, as long as it's just us Smallz," She let out a sigh and her eyes shifted from their chocolate brown to their bright electric blue and her canines shifted in. I know it's been hard for her to control herself so whenever it's just us I let her be herself. A few more episodes played on the tv until we were interrupted. 

     "What are you guys doing up here? the party is downstairs," Honeybee asked. I directed my attention to her and may I just say Woah. Her normal long sandy brown hair was gone, and instead, replaced with a burgundy bob. She was wearing dark pink lipstick along with a yellow tank top with a lime green blazer over it. She had on a pair of khaki pants and a pair of flats that matched her blazer. She really looked like Trudy, curves and all.
