"What?!" shouted Seulgi. I quickly clasped my hand over her mouth, frantically looking around to make sure that no one overhead before snapping my head back towards her.

"I told you to not freak out!" I hissed. Seulgi pulled away and started to shake me back and forth.

"You better not be joking, Jennie, this really isn't funny."

"I'm not, I swear I'm telling the truth!"

I just told her and Irene what I saw in the abandoned parking lot and let's just say that they weren't taking it too well.

Especially Seulgi

"It did seem kind of suspicious that she never wanted to tell us where she worked," murmured Irene. Seulgi let me go and started to shake Irene instead.

"Dude, how can you be so calm right now?! Our innocent little Rose is a-"

"I know," growled Irene, pushing her away. "I was hear when Jennie told us."

"There's no way Rose's like that," murmured Seulgi, running her hands through her hair as she tried to convince herself that it wasn't true. "I've known her since middle school, there's just no way."

I pursed my lips, not really knowing what to say.

"Whatever, I'm going to ask her myself."

I quickly grabbed her arm, stopping her.

"We can't just go up to her and ask her," I hissed. Before she could argue, Irene backed me up.

"Jennie's right. Obviously Rose didn't want us knowing, asking her now probably won't change anything. It'll just put the poor kid in an awkward situation."

"So what, we just turn a blind eye and act like nothing happened? Look, I don't care what her reason is," growled Seulgi, already all fired up. "I'll walk her back home every single day and keep an eye on him 24/7 if I have to, but there is no way that I'm going to let this go on."

Irene looked at how upset Seulgi was and gave her a small smile.

"We can take turns walking her home," she said, giving her bestfriend an encouraging nudge. Seulgi's eyes widened as she smiled.

"Come here you rascal," chuckled Seulgi, grabbing Irene by the neck and roughly tousling her hair.

"Look, if we can't ask her directly, then we'll just have to proceed discreetly and try to gather some information. Maybe someone in the class might know-"

"To hell with information!" cried Seulgi. "We're doing this tonight."

With furrowed brows, Irene and I both shared a confused look.

"Doing what tonight?" We both asked simultaneously.

"Follow her."

"Seul, I don't think that that's a very good idea," murmured Irene.

"I personally can't stand the idea that my friend is hanging out with an old woman who buys her expensive clothes and jewelry. I know that they're just hanging out and that she's being pampered, but she's being spoiled by some random old, lonely woman! I'm going, with or without you two."

Irene studied Seulgi's determined face and sighed.

"Alright, fine, I'm in," she said. I hesitated at first, but Seulgi had a point. "Who else is going to keep you from doing anything stupid?"

"Yeah, I guess I'm in too," I said. We continued to discuss about what we were going to do. The bell rang and we headed off to class, but I saw Jisoo at his lockers. "You guys go on ahead, I'll join you later."
