The demon's feet pattered on the same reddish soil, dark hair grazing his wandering eyes as he looked around for sudden attacks—usually just some other demons who love to play tricks.

An echoing sound of running made him halt his tracks, a grin slowly creeping on his lips.

Jisung continued to walk, already sensing the demon that he'd gotten used to.

The demon smirked, thinking the younger man was oblivious enough to know his presence.

He jumped out of the shadows and was on the verge of pouncing on him when Jisung swiftly flew aside, making him drop to the ground instead.

"Oh, that hurts!" he whined and massaged his poor, pained buttocks.

Jisung burst laughing. The rush of vibrations in his deep voice made the older man smile. Glad that the younger man is genuinely happy, at least.

"Donghyuck hy-pfft HAHAHAHAHAAH"

"Okay, Park, you can stop laughing now." Another voice came in, stifling his laughter.

His presence made the trickster scowl. "Scurry off, Huang."

"Oops, does my presence push your buttons, Lee?"

"Hyungs don't fight, geez." Jisung got in between them and pulled Donghyuck up.

"Yeah, yeah, now tell me about your human." Renjun said with a toothy smile, his sharp fangs freely peeking out.

"My human?" the youngest had his brows furrowed. "You mean Ahrin?"

"Ahrin's the name!"

Jisung lightly gasped and pointed at the trickster, "Never play a trick on her!"

"Oh, come on, Ji, where's the fun in that?" Donghyuck playfully rolled his eyes.

"I heard Chenle was tied up to her too. It could complicate things, Jisung." Renjun voiced out with a hint of worry in his tone.

"No, it's fine. I'm still the main one."

The two just shrugged at the answer and completely stepped on the main circle.

Jisung's face scrunched at the amount of defeaning screeches and awful smells coming from the pool of lost souls on the stoney bridge under them.

He extracted his wings, now in full size, as he flew up. "I can't stay longer in here; I'll go now!" he informed and flew away.

There he met with other winged demons, greeting him with their usual death-red eyes and a nod.

Jisung landed directly on the peaceful circle, where their cabins stand.

He stood on both feet, entering his own shared cabin with his other friends.

"Jisung! You're back!" Chenle shrieked and threw him a blood bag, which he effortlessly caught and sucked up.

"Oh, my child." Jaemin greeted with a warm smile and exited the cabin.

"Has anyone of you seen Renjun?" Jeno showed up in his normal topless state, black leather pants below, paired with his black boots.

"Uhh, having a walk with Hyuck." Jisung answered.

"Oh, hey there you are. I haven't seen you since you got summoned," he winked and quickly exited.

Jisung's brows knit. "What happened here?"

Chenle sighed, "Jungwoo happened. He saved his human from death. He ripped off his wings and banished."

The younger man's eyes widened and he scooted beside Chenle, placing a hand on his shoulder to show his condolences.

"You won't do such a thing, right? Jisung?"

Jisung paused for awhile and smiled, "Of course not, Lee."

"Good, because I don't want to lose another good friend again."
