Ahrin plopped on her bed, tucking herself under her newly changed baby blue duvet.

Letting out a contented sigh, her eyes darted on her plain peach ceiling, and cheerful thoughts shifted to their opposite.

Alone. That's how she could describe her situation right now.

Lonely but determined. Determined to see another light that can outshine her dimmed ones.

Could Jisung be that light?

Ahrin chuckled at the thought.

"He literally lives in the dark, and you wanted him to be your light." she mumbled to herself.

Her mind raked at the interaction they shared for now.

He's as whiny as a baby. It annoys Ahrin so much, but she mostly find it cute.

Is this what it feels like to be with a sibling?

He's always rolling his eyes like a girl, and she will always wonder if his eyes won't malfunction from rolling too much– but still, she finds it playful.

Is this what it feels like to have a friend?

He's somewhat bossy and unpredictable. Sometimes he'll force you to be productive, and sometimes he'll just laze around like her. glaring most of the time, but also had a small smile at times, and will frown once she's mentioned it.

Is this what it feels like to have someone watching over you?

Thoughts creeping up, Ahrin didn't realize that she was already pushed to her own dreamland.

A glint of black smoke erupted in her doorway, fading in a second until it revealed a certain figure.

Jisung stood beside her bed, looking down on her sleeping figure, confused about why she had a cute little smile on her lips.

Her dimly lit lampshade illuminated her face, making it easier for the demon to observe her.

A smile unconsciously played on his lips, cooing at the sight.

He stiffened when she suddenly moved, his eyes trembling, thinking that his loud breaths somehow woke her up, but sighing in relief when it's not.

While roaming through the house, he checked every single door and window, making sure that all were closed and secured. checking if the appliances are still plugged and the gas from the kitchen won't leak.

Jisung once again showed up in her room and stared at her one last time before turning around.

There he saw the black candle neatly standing on a cup, unlit.

He smiled.

Yes, he just showed up without her wishes.

"Goodnight, dear human." he whispered and disappeared.
