17 - penalty

A series of whimpers left Ahrin's lips as she forced her eyes to open.

A blurry vision greeted her, but she was able to trace a form beside her, clothed in black.

"Jisung.." she weakly called.

The demon immediately snapped at her call, turning around in panic.

"Hey, please tell me you're feeling okay." he desperately said, holding her cold hands and attempting to warm them on his own.

"I'm fine," she weakly smiled. "You?"

He sighed and nodded.

"You shouldn't. I mean, look at you."

Fully adjusted to her sight, Ahrin is now able to see his normal pitch black orbs sparkling with worry.

"I'm fine, Ji. I was just so scared of what would happen if you didn't consume enough."

"I drank enough. Thank you... so much." he mumbled, almost whispering.

Not being able to control his tears, it fell freely, throwing his weight to hers.

Ahrin lightly chuckled and wrapped her arms around him, rubbing circles on his back, his head burying her neck.

"You big baby."

"I'm not a baby." It turned out to be a whine, causing her to laugh loudly.

Everything seemed fine until a familiar call rang in his ears, causing him to freeze on the spot.

"Ji, I know you wanted a hug, but you weigh too much."

But she received no response.

"Ji?" brows furrowed, she tried to push him off.

But when she successfully did, the demon suddenly vanished into thin air.

Ahrin jolted up, a nervous, loud beating of her heart drumming on her chest.

"JISUNG?"

Finally had control over his own body, Jisung's eyes immediately wandered around, seeing the familiar sight of hell.

His mind raked on the previous scenarios he was in.

He was with Ahrin on her bed. She woke up, and he hugged her.

"The call." 

Goosebumps ran through his skin.

As if on cue, two hellhounds approached his way, along with two familiar demon guards behind.
