She took something like a scroll and gave it to me. I opened it and almost threw the scroll.

"Who is it?" she asked

"Who is it?" she asked.
"It's m-m-me" I stammered. But that stammering was true. I saw my own face on that scroll as a painting.
"Augustin gave me this scroll before the war started. He said that if something happened to Carlo I should come to the future and take you back. This painting was drawn by the most talented predicter of our city. He predicts the second life of the people" she said.
"So the wounds were from the war and not from the tortures. But you were wearing modern clothes that day. How is that?" I asked.
"That dress changing…" she started
"Okay. Don't say it. My mind will blow up. Now, come back to the point. What similarities do we have in common, me and Carlo?" I asked.
"You have green eyes like Carlo and that scar in your throat. How did you get it?"
"Mm… my mom said I was born with that scar and another" I said.
"Carlo had that scar. He got it from a battle. Another scar? Where is it?" she asked. I showed the back of my right upper arm. She looked at it.
"Maybe you could have got that from some sort of medical issues. I don't know. So you are Carlo's another life and you have to come with me to fight the war" she finished. Again I stared at her dumbstruck. Now she was telling me that I was also a warrior. She was saying some two life theory and I was a general to an army but I can't even defend myself from a bully. It was too much to take in. My mind raced back and forth. She must have read my expression because she said
"I know it's hard to process but it is the truth. So my simple job is to come to the future, which I have, search you, that was accomplished without difficulty and take you back to the past, that is pending." She said.
"Bu-but what do you want me to do in the past? Lead your army?"
"Of course. But not alone. With me."
"But I can't even defend myself and you saw that for yourself, didn't you?"
"Yes. That's because Carlo's qualities are hidden in you. I can see it and sense it and I can bring them out" she said. I steadied my mind and asked
"What do you want me to do now?"
"You come with me, I'll train you, we fight together and you come back" she said.
"What if I died? What will happen to my life here when I'm not here and when will I return? What will I tell to my parents?" Now she stared at me and I realized that I had asked those questions so fast.
"Okay. One by one. For the question about death, you'll die if you die in a battle, which will not happen. I swear to you that I'll give my life to save you. For the question about returning, time runs a little different when we time travel and it is way too complicated to explain. According to my calculations, if we travel tomorrow, which is April 15, I can return you in almost ten days. And when you go to the past you'll not be here. So you have to tell your parents something so that they don't get any doubt." She said.
"What if I don't agree to come with you?" I asked slowly afraid that she'd punch me in the nose and drag me to the past. But none of that happened.
"Well…if you don't agree I'll go back and fight the war with no hope and give away our kingdom to a bad man." she said.
